Levels of nepotism that would make even the Lings and Embletons blush.

Colchester is where Embleton went to after leaving Leyton Orient.

It's a fact that 75% of Women's Super League fans are "new fans" i.e. don't attend the respective men's team's matches. Which is fine, and will probably increase.

With Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and West Ham all in the 12 team WSL I rather feel the London market is already saturated.

Nothing at all weird and dodgy about the man sponsoring the club through another company has man a personal investment under his own company for a specific branch of the club.

This is the sort of sh*t City have done.

Its all part of building a bigger and more inclusive club. The fact that our clubs main sponsor has made a further "significant investment" in a specific part of our club should be greeted as good news. What company or entity he chooses to do it through, so long as its legal, should be viewed positively.

Never have i seen the word community used so many times in so few paragraphs.

Eastdil Property are definitely big on community, they’ve convinced me. 👍

The current standard must be poor if a player six years retired will be playing. Good luck to them though.

Its quite a vaguely worded statement. Have they effectively bought the rights to the women's team and we now have a licensing agreement in place? As I thought the whole reason we had to start over way down in the pyramid was because we ended a name licensing agreement with a separate entity and we wanted to have more direct control over how the women's team worked so has to start over.

Hard to tell exactly what's happened here because the word investment is used repeatedly without making clear what the investor is getting in return for the £.

It's a bit strange-she is only 31 years old but retired in 2018 because of a neurological illness, so is it wise to be playing again?

Nigel’s big on transparency, so perhaps he could tell us the score here?
Has he flogged off the women’s team, with them retaining the right to the ‘Leyton Orient’ name, or is it an investment that gives the investor management control but, ultimately, the women’s club is still owned by Leyton Orient?
Let’s have it Nigel, what’s happening here?

“I’ve put some money in so my daughter is straight in the team” is quite the statement to say out loud.
Wow.

Isn't it a bit simpler than that. It's just a rich American buying a plaything to keep his daughter happy whilst she's arsing about with daddy's money on some ill conceived start up company in London.

Sounds positive to me. Chelsea seem to be hiving off its Ladies team & making it independent

Remembered this from last year - we're not mentioned on her socials again but wonder if this (whatever it is) has been in the offing for a while?

There's also absolutely zero trace of McCaffrey Football Investment LLC online, save for the article on the Club website.

He's a shareholder, not just a sponsor?

Who actually does own our club? Anyone know anymore?
