Jeez, what the hell has the club been doing paying £60k a year too much for energy. Especially over the past two years with astute business people on the Board. Money that could have contributed to players wages.

Maybe they were tied into a contract which recently came up for renewal?

That is a possibility, but bloody hell, at least 2 years costing an extra £60k a year. But I agree, a possibility. Especially looking at the previous Board.

I knew the bright sparks would have something to say about this. Heck of a plug for them in the blurb.

Generating energy for the team too. Looking forward to a lively game on Saturday when the sparks should fly and bring the moaners down to earth.
Not one for the neutrals.

If my experience with Toto is anything to go by it’s easily done. They just sent me a final bill of nearly £2,000. Apparently I used what an average household would use in gas in three years in just a fortnight. I have a Smart Meter which records what I use every month. My total for the year is 14,500KWh according to the Smart meter. They are billing me for over 56,000KWh. For some reason they cannot distinguish between a metric and an imperial meter. Also they have a initial meter reading that is 500 less than the final reading from my previous supplier.
So three phone calls (two unanswered) and umpteen eMails have not resolved this. Doubtless I will be threatened with debt collectors and have a mark on my credit record because of their incompetence.

Smart meter, in this case a ''not so smart meter'' !! What a mess up so far they have been, installed at a cost of around £420 a per household ( see below ) which the consumer pays via higher bills and what bright spark did not take into consideration that when first installed in around 2017 that many would not work if you changed your energy supplier !! Also as the above comment states, big problems when they go wrong ( a friend of mine reads the meters and has told me of the many problems with these ''Smart Meters'' I refuse to have one fitted, as does my lady friend. I do not mind at all entering my own readings online and with my power supply company, you get graphs you can see which show you your power uses month to month. Lastly when I was working, once a week as part of my maintenance job in a large Pharma factory, I had to read all of the meter's on the whole site and note them down, included were gas meters, water meters, electric meters, plus other different types, OMG there were so many and it took all day to do the job and you had to be absolutely correct on each one !!
Couple of articles here about smart meters.
''Britons left out of pocket as smart meters will cost each household £420 - but experts dismiss them as just plain dumb.
Billions of pounds are being spent on installing 'smart' energy meters
Experts fear scheme is a waste of money and meters vulnerable to hackers
One expert says smart meters only shave around a tenner a year off bills''

•Meters are not always compatible between energy suppliers''

In my case, it gave me my annual usage broken down month by month which shows Toto are totally wrong. Recorded all the readings on my phone.
So the meters are smart, it's Toto that are dumb.

Always resisted smart meters. Don’t need a machine to tell me using energy cost money and simple things like turning off lights saves money. They are not for our benefits but the energy companies who are unlikely to pass on savings to customers. I post my readings online and am quite happy for some person to earn a wage taking annual readings at my house.

The geriatrics won't understand that. Instead they will negatively fixate on us creatively monetising something else and say things like 'Danny Macklin would sell his mother if he could' without being able to understand the big picture.

I think the club should be given a key meter
Tenner Top up max
Key meters were good, Always had difficulty getting my boys to pay house keeping money, so had smart meters installed, gave one card(gas) to one boy, other card, electric to other boy, we knew who to blame if run out simples, plus they always turned lights off when left room. apart from that couldn't see if they were any good at keeping bills down.
