Has been crap so far. Thought he was good end of last season. What's going on?

Blows hot and cold. Can be the most dangerous player on the pitch or totally anonymous

He's still young and will improve . There is a very good player in Ollie .

He is young, going to be bad and good, would prefer to see him on the right for a game or two though rather than the inverted wingers

He’s a winger. The new narrow formations don’t suit him.

Also perhaps the element of surprise is gone and teams have studied him now to find ways to nullify his threat? Only Kelman really seems to be fully "at it" from our forward line at the moment, even Agyei looks a bit leggy

I have no concerns about O’Neil, he will be a big player for us this season, he’s a top player for L1.
We are just playing this formation due to lack of wide options, at the moment, however when we add a new Right Winger RW keeps taking about (hopefully Shaq
) and Graham is fit, we will go back to playing with wingers.
Our main concern is not with attacking players it’s the clown
in goal (I can’t bear to type his name) and Sweeney at LB.
Both need replacing and before next game Tues!!

No worries with O’Neill at all, will get better and better, imv.
Problem, as rightly pointed out, is the sub standard goalie we’ve been lumbered with.

Watching the highlights, his pressing caused the mistake

I dont like playing inverted wingers, at the very least do a swap to their natural side in the course of the game to give another option.

He reminds me of JMD.

Thought he looked pretty lively against Bolton to be fair. The reality is, Birmingham are a club with a much bigger budget and player for player are better than us (albeit we were better than them on Saturday). Their fullback dealt with O’Neil well and he’ll have much easier afternoons in League 1 than he did on Saturday. I still think he’s a good player for us.
