Not only have they not backed Richie, they have let him and the supporters down in a big way
Richie is frustrated as hell, listening to him in today's after match interview.
He desperately want some experience in the side, but all the board have given him are non proven kids.
Everyone brought in this summer have been from the bargain bucket.
We have a board of millionaires & multi millionaires, so what's going on? Why are they not spending anything?
Richie deserves better than this, much better

I agree and that's what I find really disappointing .

We don’t have a big budget, never have, and unlikely to change in the near future. This is it , accept or get yourself wound up. RW knows the score and I am sure he knew what he could get before the season started. I just think the scouting is poor and lazy.

My question is where has the budget gone? Supposedly 10% more than last season, senior pros been moved on yet we have a team of loans and youths with no major signings coming in?
Drinan
Pigott
Moncur
Sanders
Hunt
El Miz
All chunky wage players and when you look at what's come in it seems hard to believe they're costing more than what's gone out the door.

Ok , our budget is small compared to other clubs but we're still not getting value for money

I suppose a wedge is going towards paying Pigott's and Moncur's wages out on loan .

No one seems to have considered that our increased budget has mainly been in keeping Richie…

I don’t disagree, what I say is that the recruitment and scouting needs to be reviewed. It’s too easy to pick up rejects and Spurs/Arsenal kids.

Is Richie's wage considered as part of the "playing budget"?

It shouldn't be . I would imagine its staff's budget .

We haven't backed the board . Another tiny crowd at Brisbane Road today.

When they put prices up but don't invest in the squad, attendances will drop

There is no Dosh to back him personally I think he will be gone sooner than fans think it’s amazing how some fans are banking on beating the shrews at this stage of a season, the scary thing is if the shrews beat us that’s the apparent banker gone.

With Hemming in goal I wouldn't say Shrewsbury was a banker

Something in Richie's post-match today rang a bell and sure enough take exhibits A and B
Only hope Richie can manage to pull a miracle out the bag and make something of his bunch of youths and it doesn't go the same way as the last time the club tried this route

I think we all need to take a breath. Unfortunately our keeper has made some bad mistakes. If he hadn’t have, we would have made a good start. Those players have actually been very good and none of the big clubs have played us off the park. Sort our keeper out and I am confident all will be well.

This 100%. Feel like Richie's interview was more at pullings responses from fans, players, board then getting away from the club. Reiterating he wants to achieve something remarkable here.

This.
We were the better team today without doubt and without those ‘howlers’ at the back we would have won, and got at least a point v Bolton.
Richie has done a great job with the team of Free transfers
Get a half decent keeper and we’ll be fine

I guess it will always be a convenient excuse that Wellens didn't get the boards backing when he eventually goes. Nothing to do with the fact that maybe he's not quite as good as a manager as everyone goes on about.

Absolutely spot on. Football, in the past tense, is never about ifs. However, what is glaringly obvious is an experienced ‘keeper would not have gifted those goals. O’s would therefor very likely have points on the board, be mid-table and we’d all be saying we’ve had a decent start (and played well) against the two biggest clubs in the division and a London derby away.

I don’t think we’ll be in trouble this year (aside from a big batch of key injuries) but the problem will be matching Richie’s ambition, and the fans ambition if we finish 15th

Absolutely spot on . The club left Jackett high and dry and are starting to do the same thing again.

I have said on many occasions that the club need massive injection of money from new investors to enable us to progress.
I honestly believe that without quality, proven players at this level or above at best we will stagnate in this division or at worst be relegated, I hope I am wrong. The sheer waste of money on players like Piggott, giving a long and expensive contract to Moncs who is nowhere near the player he was and introduction on the whole of players on loan that are not proven first team players at this level or above has been our downfall.
Gates will continue to drop as fans fail to get value for money with the crazy prices being charged.
In my opinion there is only one answer a massive injection of money from new investors to spend on quality, proven players.
