Going to Ipswich on loan. No shade on Ipswich, but struggling to think of another player who's had such a rapid career downturn? Less than 3 years since he was an integral part of the England side at Euro 2020/21 and one of the main men at a decent Leeds side. Now it's a newly promoted - and probably semi-doomed - club on loan and a million miles away from Europe or international football. Barring injuries etc, any suggestions as to anyone who's fared worse, recently?

Fair shout. Seems to be some more mitigating issues there though than just chasing the big move and it all blows up.

Drinkwater also a good suggestion. The Big Six absolutely ruin some players.

Can’t stand it when players go to big clubs and then rot. I guess they prioritise the money which is fair enough.
Not to the same extent but you could argue Grealish hasn’t progressed as much as some of his peers since leaving villa

I saw that Steven Alzate is training with Ipswich trying to earn a deal.....

I recall a number of Citeh fans getting antsy with me on FB when I said he'd be Rodwell MK2 and was only bought to prevent another big club getting him... and so it came to pass

Kinell, forgot Rodwell was even at City.

He will have 2-3 good games for Ipswich, and just to make a point and suck up to Gareth and the FA, Carsley will pick him for England squad again
