Zero laughs, only one that seems likely to be a new observation (tables) and about six that are already well known dad jokes

I've seen funnier jokes in a Christmas cracker. Standards plummeting if that is a true reflection of what's on offer, although I doubt it really is

The second effort, about failing RE was the most memorable one, for me. Not a vintage crop, however.

Every year they just publish this list of 'gags' that, at absolute best, may raise a smirk. I think the point of the article is that they're all crap and people get annoyed.

There’s an ex member of this board who would LOVE to achieve a smirk

Even I wouldn't repeat those.
The Edinburgh fringe was a regular trip for me , it's a great experience.
Bumped into Jack Dee at the urinals in the Pleasance, and said to him that he looked a lot smaller in real life than on the telly. He told me to stick to the day job and leave the gags to the professionals. It didn't stop my enjoyment of his sitcom Lead Balloon.

There was me thinking Lead Ballon was not an actual show. How can he diss the finest wit the MB has to offer?

A witty pun about a sailing trip has been named the funniest joke at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Comedian Mark Simmons was voted the winner with his gag: "I was going to sail around the globe in the world’s smallest ship but I bottled it.”

@jokeswithmark is bloody brilliant (despite being a West Ham fan).

Have seen a few reels of his and actually seems pretty funny and smart with his audience interactions.

#2 and #3 are alright, the rest are bad, some really bad. Gentle word play is cutting edge jokes, or is Christmas cracker duration the benchmark for a disposable, near clickbait article.
