Some interesting questions not sure about the answers.
1)Q was Kelman our number one striker in January window?
A no he wasn’t.
Me)So why bring him in now?
2)Q does the new guy from Wigan play left or right back?
A right back. We will give Sweeney a chance.
Me) So why haven’t we got a decent left back in and good luck with Sweeney he isn’t good enough imo.

3) Q was GM going to be sold?
A yes but they didn’t offer enough on the loan.
4)Q are we bringing in another striker?
A no not really more interested in a number 8
Me) what’s wrong with the lad at Colchester, got a feeling GM put a stop to that?
5) Q)what other players would you like?
A would like to bring in a left footed right winger to play on the right
Me) here’s an idea bring in a left winger and play him on the right even better find a professional footballer that can actually use both feet🤷‍♀️
Give it a listen but to me some of his answers didn’t make much sense 🤷‍♀️

I agree . Sweeney is alright as a squad player but no way is he a first choice LB. Also it's a big mistake not bringing in another striker . If Agyei get's injured again we're fcked

@monkeyboy are you this relentlessly negative in the rest of your life, or do you save it for Orient?

I'm glad Sweeney is going to get a chance, time to really see if he can hack it at this level. And should it not work out, Tom James will replace him whilst we find another left back.

As for Kelman not being first choice, is that really a surprise. The fact is clubs like us that don't have money to burn usually lose out on their first choice.

And as for Richie wanting a left footed player to play on the right, anyone that has been watching the O's since Richie joined will know that this is how he likes to play.

Didn’t know that but was it just a rumour that we were interested or did we miss out yet again?

The lack of forwards is obviously going to cost us.

Agyei
Kelman
Perkins
DJ
ONeill
Graham injured
Archibald injured

Is that all we have?

Pegrum, but he's about as effective as Perkins is.

Graham (sick note)
Archibald( lucky to play this season)
Kelman(simply not good enough)
DJ (possible sick note not rated at Charlton)
Perkins (relatively untried especially at other clubs)
O’Neill (good player but still young)
Agyei (quality )

Yep that’s all, you’ve nailed it

Gotta say, while the relentless and performative negativity from some on here is really boring, we absolutely do look short up front. The division is going to be even more competitive and, a week out from the season's start, our squad doesn't look any stronger on paper.

While all of them are forward players only the first three are strikers while the rest are wingers . Even then two of them are injured . Starting the season with only Agyei , Kelman and Perkins doesn't fill me with much confidence . In my opinion we definitely need another striker

It is pretty mad that our 3 strikers (unless I’m missing someone?) are:
Ageyi - quality but will need a rest at some point and is a risk considering his fitness last season
Kelman - looks like he’s a decent addition but questions over his goalscoring ability
Perkins - inexperienced and a bit of an unknown

I assume we’ll at least get a loan in

Just for the record I’m not having a go at RW,think the board need to answer questions such as what’s happened to the money received from players sold, why let ten go and only bring six in,why have NT and the board gone so quiet they usually like to big it up at the start of the season. Have they taken us as far as they can?

Kelman will do fine. Im pretty sure we will bring in another loanee by the end of August but needs to be right one who can impact similar to Forde rather than the lads we got from Arsenal & Bournemouth in Jan last season.

So you’re saying I’m negative because I relayed what Wellens said on the podcast. Jesus some people on here like to deflect what the club do onto people like me. I didn’t come up with the questions or answers try listening to the podcast yourself (which I did)

Oh by the way, didn’t hear you slagging off Spain when they used 442 to win the Euros or was that old-fashioned as well?.

The ten out, six in is a bit misleading though. One of the Jan loanees was cover for an injured Agyei and Thompson hasn’t played in forever. You’ve also got Obiero stepping up this season so you’re looking at seven out, six in.

NT said we'd be excited about our new signings . I fully appreciate we haven't got the money of other clubs so maybe it's best they keep quiet because our transfer business so far has been disappointing .

But our business isn't complete.

All those numbers of players to be signed, we must still have 3 or so players to add to the squad.......?

As did a few other national teams in the recent Euro's. Also 4-4-2 is that a formation now being used by some teams in the Spanish LaLiga and Tiki-taka not played nowadays by that many teams of the Spanish league teams.

We've sorted our starting 11 out, so I can see the logic of then taking time to see what players become available due to moves elsewhere (like with Mizouni) or free agents lowering their expectations on the move they can get (like with Graham last season). But we're leaving it later than Wellens will have wanted.

He referenced two players coming in before Hemmings signed so we know for sure we are at least 1 player short of the planned squad size. My guess is it'll be 2 new players in assuming we can't shift Moncur.
