A local businessman was stabbed in the leg as he tried to put himself between the children and the attacker, the Telegraph is reporting., external

Jonathan Hayes, 63, ran into the dance studio from his office next door after hearing screams, his wife tells the paper. He is due for surgery later.

"He heard screams and went outside, saw the attacker, saw that he had hurt a child and tried to take the knife off him and got stabbed in the leg," his wife, Helen, says.

"He’s very upset that he wasn’t able to be more help. Physically he will be ok, mentally I don’t know.”

Yeah RTW - you'd have to be some kind of attention grabbing, sh*t-stirring w*nker to do that wouldn't you, given the tragic circumstances.

Guessing it's alluding to the fact that when white people commit these sorts of atrocities, it's always reported as being a mental health issue, but when its a non white person, it's ideological or terrorism and indicative of some sort of issue with that community.

It's in pretty sh*t taste to make a comment like that, granted.

Forgot the 30 year IRA bombing campaign was all because of mental health issues

Because a couple of posts above it was stated that that this atrocity was not terror related. And so now it is being asked if the perpetrator is maybe mentally ill.
