He’s a right back was under the impression we needed a left back or left wing back

Yes but predominantly a right back we need a specialised left backDuvB wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:13 am'He is a very versatile player who can play at full-back, in midfield or at centre-back' says LingMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:11 am He’s a right back was under the impression we needed a left back or left wing back

That says it all but at least we signed someone, unfortunately not one of many free players that were availableBiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:13 am “Thank f***”

Re: Sean Clare signs
Sounds like a very good replacement for Hunt. Although paying fees for a back up right back is interesting consider the pressing needs elsewhere

To be fair, there’s more negative tweets along with other tweets praising him.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:17 amThat says it all but at least we signed someone, unfortunately not one of many free players that were availableBiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:13 am “Thank f***”

I reckon he’ll be first choice, with Tom James shifting to left back.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:18 am Sounds like a very good replacement for Hunt. Although paying fees for a back up right back is interesting consider the pressing needs elsewhere

An experienced pro with a decent amount of games are League 1 level. Exactly the kind of singing we should be making so fair play on this one.
Now, we need a goalie and a striker.

Re: Sean Clare signs
Needed a Hunt like player who can cover both full back positions, but would be a bit underwhelmed if he's going into the first team, based on him not being deemed good enough by two clubs who finished below us last season.

Wigan would have finished above us in 9th were it not for their points deduction...Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:31 am Needed a Hunt like player who can cover both full back positions, but would be a bit underwhelmed if he's going into the first team, based on him not being deemed good enough by two clubs who finished below us last season.

agree, let’s give him a chance before the ink is dry on the contract.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:20 amTo be fair, there’s more negative tweets along with other tweets praising him.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:17 amThat says it all but at least we signed someone, unfortunately not one of many free players that were availableBiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:13 am “Thank f***”

Re: Sean Clare signs
Why didn’t we keep Hunt if he’s no better? However let’s give him a chance but would have preferred to have signed a specialised left back with pace.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:31 am Needed a Hunt like player who can cover both full back positions, but would be a bit underwhelmed if he's going into the first team, based on him not being deemed good enough by two clubs who finished below us last season.

I think we'll still sign a first choice left backMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:50 amWhy didn’t we keep Hunt if he’s no better? Re: Sean Clare signs
My Charlton supporting mate who I asked about the DJ who gave a very glowing review of "he's crap" said about Clare:
Christ. You're getting relegated. If he plays right back, every left back and left winger will skin him. He's pony bless him. At Old Trafford every player did a job, and he was the only one who let us down. He was a makeshift CM shifted to RB, but was a striker at Hearts. He's a horrible watch. Good luck.
So I'm positively optimistic now.

Re: Sean Clare signs
Well as to what supporters say, hmm well typical is the comments about our last seasons top scorer Ruel, described by a lot of people on this forum as a complete liability, rubbish etc and they are so pleased he has gone, well we shall see what happens !MassiveForehead wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:56 am My Charlton supporting mate who I asked about the DJ who gave a very glowing review of "he's crap" said about Clare:

Leyton Orient have given this new player a three year contract, something only given to Moncur, so perhaps they know something that supporters dont know, ever that or the club is a poor judge of players ability ?
Time will tell !

Re: Sean Clare signs
I would respectfully disagree with that, we have players who can play up front but no quality and if anyone thinks Kelman will have an impact are sadly mistaken imo
