One thread says we need experience; the other says the player is too old.

It seems we really can't please them all...

If we are talking about Shaun then we won't be signing him as Millwall have re signed him

If he stays injury free (unlike last season) then this could be fantastic signing and a great replacement for El Miz, along with huge experience in championship and league 1, can bring up the youth who will eventually take over and will take the pressure off Prats as well as the "old head"
I hope this works out for club and player, I would be very happy if this came off.

Hutchinson retired from professional football at the age of 21 in August 2010, due to a recurring knee injury.[5]

Obviously he unretired
Sounds like an ideal O’s player, 3 year deal please!!!!

and has played over 200+ games since coming back. I think if the issue was a big problem he wouldn't have had the career he has had.

Last 5 seasons games played

12,11,28, 2,5

Looks a big risk to me, surely we can do better.

I think as its a free, (depending on what happens) the club could offer a 1 year pay as you play, or as well as a small base wage. I agree if there was a fee or we had no other options in that position this would be a big risk. I would not have thought this is not a long term placement and its about experience and coaching the younger players coming through.

Pay as you play would be sensible, with small base wage as you suggest.
Re coaching the younger players, are we not sufficient in that category? Prats surely next in line, as was said with his contract extension, for any coaching roles

Very true, I forgot about Prats and his coaching role. Then maybe it is a roll of the dice by RW, although that's what the trial is for.
I would not see him being offered anymore than 1 year, so just another body to maybe bulk out the squad? and be used on rotation basis.

Or maybe he's a potential replacement for Moncur .

Could be a Moncur replacement. If only George could pass a KFC like he passes a ball we would have had a real player.
3 year deal for Sam please!

He has played at a high level and will be cheap due to his past.
Let Wellens decide if he is worth the risk
