OFFICIAL EUROS FINAL - Spain (A)

Feeling quite excited and strangely hopeful. It’s nice to be the underdog where I know Spain are better but individually we probably have the edge. See if our momentum continues to grow.

Thought we’d beat Italy last time and think we’ll lose today so we’ll see.

Coming home?

Spain have been the best team from the beginning of this tournament so we're definitely the underdogs . It's a one off game so anything can happen .

Oddschecker has best odds Spain 8/11 and England 13/10

Promising first half in so much as Spain aren’t at full throttle and our defence and midfield have nullified their threat. Wingers in Walker and Shaws pockets. Need to become more of a threat going forward

HT and I think we're playing alright . I fully expect to see Ollie Watkins to come on during the second half . Our defence is playing well but Spain do look threatening everything they come forward .

That kane shot would have been a goal a year ago. He’s either injured or has lost half a yard. Him and Bellingham are shattered.

That's why I would sub Kane for Watkins in the second half

Personally, I would bring on Toney. We need someone to hold onto the ball more, up top.

I thought we played quite well tonight but we were just beaten by the better team . In fact Spain have been the best team in this tournament from the beginning .

To lose it in the last 5 is even more painful than had it ended 1-0

Typical cheating Spanish rolling about on the floor at the end, absolutely hate them

And the ref blows up bang on 4 mins. I know it probably wouldn’t have meant anything but frustrating nonetheless

Times up, Southgate.

I don’t think we’ll ever win another tournament. Spain were the best team in the tournament and better tonight so I don’t feel too bad. We weren’t robbed. But it would be nice to see us win something

To be fair to Southgate he's got a decent record . He's been OK as the England Manager .

At least Cucurella will get booed constantly next season.

Hopefully one of the English players sticks a two footer on him first game of the season

No complaints. Aside from the ref blowing too early, overall Spain deserved that. They were the better side, but this England team gave them a fight. If we hadn't been half asleep in that first minute of the second half things may have been different, but that's why we're not champions.

As much as I’ve defended Southgate I think he could be questioned after we scored. We obviously threw on Palmer and went more attacking but it was clear we were lacking in midfield, shaw was f*cked and Walker was covering two positions. We were opened up for the goal and Walker was packing going to block the cross

Would have been an absolute travesty had we won, not only have Spain been the best team in the tournament and were better on the night, but we got to the final by avoiding the real big guns and by playing boring tippy tapppy football for most of the tournament.

That's the most disappointing part, we got the momentum back then let it go. Midfield was poor, thought Rice struggled tonight occasion got the better of him somewhat

I hope Jude sticks deep heat in their right backs under crackers. Awful man.

I really don’t understand the mind set, we equalised and then sat back and defended after having them on the ropes however think the best team won. You could have landed a plane in midfield we gave them so much room We may of stood a chance if Kane and Foden hadn’t been playing?

It wasn’t mindset, it was tiredness and playing a quality team. We also didn’t sit back when we scored - the opposite actually. Surprising you got it wrong

There was some very Wellens-esque gamesmanship going on by the Spanish at key moments. They slowed the game right down after our goal to deflate the momentum then spent 50% of injury time feigning injury. Great when it's your team doing it, infuriating when you're on the other end of it, such is the dark arts.

Well I won £125 because I had zero faith they’d do anything

Wish I’d lumped on more, predictable negative bollocks 🥱
