Sunak - How long will it take?

Post by Stowaway »

Before he resigns the tory party leadership, his seat and then f**ks off to the US to carry on making himself richer?

I give it 2 months, max.

2 months? 2 days I’d be surprised at. The mob wanting to replace him will be waiting for tomorrow morning to snap their plans into action that have been years in the making.

That is, if he doesn’t lose his seat!

He'll resign the leadership almoat immediate. He'll then take a well deserved holiday and then jet round the world, occasionally appearing in the uk, it'll be a few months before he resigns his seat if he still has one and maybe in a year or so admit he is now based there. He won't actually be seen in the house of commons again.

Since he's stood again at this election, assuming he doesn't lose his seat (which would obviously be pretty funny) it'll be a while before he properly buggers off. But as MM says, we won't see much more from him. Tbf, I get the impression that he's at least aware enough to just slip away rather than hang around like a bad smell a la Truss and Johnson.

I reckon he will go within hours and let the party stew in it.
It's no longer his game and he owes nobody anything for the future.

Ah, Kemi, my non-local MP.

She’ll make a good leader of the Opposition.

Will lead the Tories into an embarrassing murmur of a revival in 2029 then be kicked out.

But none of it will be her fault, rather those leftie, rich, white celebrities. (Sigh)
