Your Sir John Curtice Moment
To predict the General Election Results:- For me this is too difficult to call. But Tories 140 seats, Liberals 70+ seats, Reform 0-2 seats, Greens 3 seats. What do you reckon? Who is gonna be brave?

Re: Your Sir John Curtice Moment
I'm still thinking that Reform will not get more than 2 MPs. And that the Tories will not go below 140 seats due to the shy vote turning up.

Could just be my circle of associates but Reform are very, very popular.

You may be right. And the final Survation poll suggests that my predictions are bollocks.

Re: Your Sir John Curtice Moment
Despite a huge win for Labour, I predict, Starmer won't get as many votes as Corbyn did in 2017, and maybe not even quite as many as Corbyn did in 2019, which was labelled a terrible defeat.
Labour will get around 40% of the vote, which is the same as Corbyn did in 2017
Starmers a lucky guy to be leader when the Tories are so unpopular

It's not luck, it's Sirkieths 4d chess games which have meant he's leader now, not 9 years ago.Qin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 7:34 pm Despite a huge win for Labour, I predict, Starmer won't get as many votes as Corbyn did in 2017, and maybe not even quite as many as Corbyn did in 2019, which was labelled a terrible defeat.

Because the idea of a supermajority, despite being meaningless, has worked.

People still vote, even if they know there's literally no point. I always do.

I'm trying to work out the cut off for doing a shot if a majority is overturned to not die, 18,000? Every past or current cabinet member gets one.

Re: Your Sir John Curtice Moment
13 MPs is a good few more than I'd like but everyone already talking like they've won the whole thing. Mental.
