Euro 2024 breaking: Uefa investigating England midfielder Jude Bellingham over gesture.

Uefa will conduct a disciplinary investigation into England goal hero Jude Bellingham about a "potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct" following an alleged lewd gesture he made after celebrating his dramatic equaliser in Sunday's extra-time win.

"An Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match," said Uefa in a statement.
The laws of the game rule that any “obscene gesture” or “offensive or insulting action” should be punishable by a red card.

@gshaw,
Well seems that Gary Linekar is in agreement with you calling UEFA officials ''@EURO2024 celebration police''

Former England striker Gary Lineker has hit out at "celebration police" as it emerged UEFA will look into a gesture made by Jude Bellingham on Sunday as the Three Lions beat Slovakia. Bellingham's involvement in the next round hangs in the balance, with UEFA investigating an apparent crotch-grabbing gesture as England celebrated. Players have been handed bans for offensive gestures in other competitions, but Lineker urged restraint from the governing body. For crying out loud, the @EURO2024 celebration police are looking into @BellinghamJude. Ridiculous!" Lineker wrote on social media on Monday. "Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English FA player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match,"

💯 agree on this, anything to derail England, a very desperate act to weaken England to help Swiss.

What’s next Rice to get a ban for being pushed by the Slovakian manager at FT

Nothing would surprise me.
Do you remember all the things that were done to the 1970 England World cup team, including Bobby Moore being arrested on charge of stealing a bracelet e.g The 1970 World Cup Bogotá Bracelet incident.

None of the UEFA executive committee are Swiss, so why are you implying that UEFA has any reason to somehow attempt to undermine England?

I did not say they were. But can assume some the committee live there.

Maybe the two English members live there and they've gone all native and anti-English.

Football is so bland now. To think former Os favorite Terry Mancini mooned his own chairman in the 1970s while at QPR because they were blocking his move to Arsenal. Then you had Arsenal defender Sammy Nelson doing the same a few years later to his own fans in the North Bank.
