Postal Voting

Being out of the country on July 4th, I applied for a postal vote. The forms arrived yesterday at 11.00 am; I filled them in and got to the Bureau de Poste just in time for the mid-day collection. 'Couldn't have done much more but I don't think my ballot paper will arrive in time to count. Effectively, I will have been denied my right to vote. Are any of you in the same boat?

I work in Royal Mail and indeed you did cut it fine but I think it should arrive in time .

No, was sufficiently organised to ensure my vote was received in plenty of time.

What happens if someone posts a vote and then croaks before 4th July? Would it be illegal?

My guess is yes because he was obviously alive when voting .
