When will Southgate learn
Trippier has no left foot and passes backwards, sideways and is scared to get wide and attack op LB, has to be dropped, if Foden starts on the left!
Bellingham needs to be moved to No.8 alongside Rice, he has done nothing in last 2 games in creative no.10 role, really disappointing.
If still poor, replaced by Mainoo
Foden needs to and has to play central in No10 role, this for me is an absolute no brainer!
Gordon or Palmer to play wide left, again no brainer.
Saka or Palmer to play wide right
Kane has looked like a lower league no.9 and we all know, Southgate will continue with Kane up front for England, but Southgate needs to use Watkins to replace a very tired and unfit Kane, if his form continues.
Basically we need to fit Palmer in the starting 11!
End of the day, we know Southgate will prob start same 11 on Sunday

But Foden did get moved more centrally last night and he still did f*** all. Mainoo will likely start on Sunday, but not at Bellingham's expense - imagine if the Alexander-Arnold midfield experiment is over, so too is the one with Gallagher. We looked much better (low bar, admittedly) once Mainoo was on.

Foden and Trippier working together on the left created a few problems for the Slovenian 8-man defence, but we were never able to get on the end of anything.

No, I said if Foden continues on the left in attacking midfield role, Trippier needs to be dropped, as we need a left footed player like Gordon, who can start LB, and then attack the space being left by Foden when he comes inside.
Trippier can not do that as he will not use his left or go wide, attach FB and cross the ball, he gets the ball and passes backwards or inside sideways.

I’ve said enough about this idiot,we are going to have to wait until the FA grow a pair and appoint the next idiot, and you can bet that’s a certainty too.

I misread. Its pointless crossing to Kane when he’s being double marked in the box and there’s nonpne else who is good in the air. When teams sit really deep, you need to pull them out of position and create space, that’s what City do so well.

I might be getting on a bit, but i can still work out one win and two draws equals five points.

Not Trippier's fault per-se of course; but absolutely he does not work as a LB due to being so right-sided.
Inexplicable that we travelled with only one LB, who is injured (Shaw)
One suggestion might be TAA RB and Walker LB. I've even Saka mentioned as a possible solution there but we are too predictable with Trippier there for sure Stan.

But assuming a kid who has zero caps (at a competitve level) is necessarily the answer is likely clutching at straws.

Maybe, the answer isn't trent or Gallagher though so you gotta put your faith in one of Wharton, mainoo or bellingham out of position though. What would you do?

I agree it will be the same starting 11 and that's why I fancy us to get knocked out .

We haven’t got anyone up to it imo in that role but Mainoo is the future so I’d play him. Don’t understand the Gallagher hype.
Either that or push Bellingham back and play Foden or palmer in the ten role

Palmer all day long. Saka offers very little in an England shirt. One trick player and all opposition defenders know what it is. Like many of these players. They look great in the prem surrounded by talented foreign players.
