England has been awful . We go a goal up then sit deep and defend . I saw the highlights of the Spain V Italy game last night and both teams look streets ahead of England . We'll scrap out of the group but the first half decent side we meet we're out .

Southgates boring style of football will never ever get England winning a major tournament, I stopped watching England games ages ago, they did my head in.
Englands matches should be entertaining, with attacking football not the negative boring style of Southgates.
He is just a nearly man and nearly will never be good enough.

Nothing but backwards and sideways passing, then gave it away cheaply. Sound familiar?!

Whilst I agree with what’s been written about Southgate, the players must also take their fair share of blame. Kane has been anonymous, yes he scored a tap in yesterday but apart from that he’s just been jogging around doing fcuk all.
Rice and Bellingham yesterday were also poor………..we looked an absolute shambles and the fans rightly responded with Booing at the end.
If we meet Germany, Spain or France, we are doomed 😳😳

It is strange to see the hammering Kane is suddenly getting from all quarters, when he's doing the same things and playing the same way he's always played.

Man is the best no.9 in the world right now, every team at this tournament would kill to have him in their side. If the system isn't getting the best out of him, then the system is the problem.

Playing with such poor players must be really frustrating for Bellingham and you can see his attitude beginning to sour. He needs to focus.

A lot of our players come across as less than bright and I'll include the manger in that too.
Maybe they aren't being instructed very clearly and are also having problems interpreting what is being said.
Kane has said they don't know when to press and others are wandering around like headless chickens.
Perhaps they need to go back to basics and play with a simple plan that they can all comprehend.

Every player needs to keep to the following:

Assess when to retain possession and when to release the ball, picking the opportune moment.

Go at the opposition at different paces but ensure the full length of the pitch is utilised.

Look out for dangerous tackles, make sure you fulfil both your defensive and offensive responsibilities.

Exploit the space beyond the oppositions defensive line, this is the solitary method of achieving success.

Well if Kane and the players don't know how to move, what the hell is Gareth Southgate getting paid for?

Surely Footballers should know how to move, Southgate "oi Harry go there" , If you can't work that out, why are you playing?

I think Southgate will resign at the end of the Euros.

Who replaces him is an interesting one though

They all want the ball to feet. Running in behind isn’t their nature. They either run or Kane has to play like Ronaldo.

Is that why the press failed? Kane isn't Ronaldo, why play like Ronaldo & 7 or 9?

He holds position and drops off when its helps the team move forward.

The press failed because the players didn’t press.
