Am I the only one who finds it a bit odd that the club have mentioned nothing about Beckles representing (and captaining) Grenada in their World Cup qualifiers over the last week or so?
Just seemed strange considering the praise for Galbraith, O’Neill and a bit further back Sotiriou…
Or… I just completely missed the Beckles posts

Yes, seems strange, I haven’t seen anything on social media either

I’ve just googled to check this wasn’t a WUM. It is indeed true, Omar has been playing for his country.
Proper disrespectful from the club to overlook this.

I’m only guessing here but maybe it’s because O’Neill and Galbraith have only just broken into their senior national side . With Omar he’s a relatively old timer who’s represented Grenada a number of times. Like I said, I’m only guessing. Anyway I like to congratulate Omar . It’s always great to see any of our players representing their country.

Absolute tosh.
Any international call up usually gets reported.

I don’t know why Omar wasn’t mentioned. I did say I was only guessing .

It’s a balls up by the club, that’s all. No guessing required.

You don't have to be that harsh, surely.... A reasonable response if you ask me.

Not ready to jump down any conspiracy wormhole but it does, on the face of it, seem odd not to mention his international game time when they very conspicuously do for everyone else.

This seems an uncontroversial thing to say and is entirely in character for the Club’s social media operation lately.

I'm thinking Omar is quite happy people haven't been aware of results from these games.

The odd thing about those results is that the draw actually came against Trinidad & Tobago, who are a relatively established team at international level. They’ve made a World Cup before. Whereas one of their 0-3 hammerings was against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

You picked Trinidad & Tobago over 2014 World Cup quarter finalists ? Interesting you pick them as the established 1 of the 3

What’s the issue with that?
Either the club did know and chose not to credit Omar publicly (I refuse to believe that) or they’re not aware/have not communicated it to the right people ie a balls up.

The cynic in me suggests it's more about increased exposure and hype around the two young players most likely to be sold for a chunky transfer fee if they have a good start to the season
