Re: Congratulations to OON
Seems to have got a good assist. Think we've nabbed a real gem in O'Neil, not sure how Graham gets back into the team assuming we play inverted wingers next season.

Rudi Vata's son in the Ireland side, assume there's a greater connection than his Da playing for Celtic.

Nice problem to have. I'm sure Graham played on both wings in his handful of games for us?
(Galbraith is the gem, though. Someone has been banging on here for a while about how good he is, last night I saw it).

Re: Congratulations to OON
He was generally playing as a right wing back as he only got fit enough to start once the formation switch happened. Don't doubt he can do both, more that we look best when we players on the wings cutting in. But with Theo's injury, he might slot in there (even if I suspect Agyei will be playing as our first choice in that position next season).Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 10:32 am Nice problem to have. Controversial. Agyei has all the attributes to be the perfect lone front man, I just can't see him being stuck out wide.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 10:44 amHe was generally playing as a right wing back as he only got fit enough to start once the formation switch happened. Re: Congratulations to OON
I'm basing that off of Wellens wanting a new striker who we'll presumably sign on a first teamers wages provided we get rid of Piggott. I can't see us bringing another winger and Theo is out, so we don't have a left footer occupying that position. Ideal solution would be Forde coming back for another season.

I think Agyei would be much more effective with someone alongside him - a foil.

80s culture and fashion has seen a huge revival in recent times - why not bring back footballing tactics from that era.

Would like to see it, especially with the two up front partnerships....Bullock and Fairbrother, Kitchen and Mayo, even Griffiths and Richards..

A front 4 of
---------------Agyei--------------
O'Neill----Galbraith----Graham
with another striker, Theo, plus Forde's replacement as back up is immense. Possibly another 10 if we can offload Moncs and Piggot.

He's got an Irish granny apparently. Don't know if the international football authorities still don't bother checking whether this actually true or notProposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 10:27 am Rudi Vata's son in the Ireland side, assume there's a greater connection than his Da playing for Celtic.

Yes, maybe they were together more, and although you say that Richards was dog excrement he was a dangerous foil for a short period of time.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 11:50 am Also wasn’t it Griffiths and Mcgleish and Richards was dog turd?

Can we do this for the entire squad though the formula can change to suit...
AGY
PRT
GBH
2 x winger (Forde replacement and loan temp until Theo back)
2 x striker (Drinan and Pigott replacements)
Potentially one or two more if Moncur and Sotiriou aren't here next season...

Need way more than that to give depth as Graham is a real unknown whether he'll come back as before and stay injury freeHoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 11:54 am A front 4 of
