Apparently the American paratroopers also had to show their passports . Let’s just hope France never gets invaded again .

The bulk of them have stopped in France. In fact, according to the Irish government a few have kept on going and have gone through us and are now in Ireland

Some have, yet none showed a passport on entry unlike soldiers from the land of brexit

The BBC have apologised over arseholegate and edited the recording on iPlayer to remove the offending segment.

Their coverage of D-day events this week has been generally very good. "D-Day: The Unherd Tapes", spread over three evenings, was particularly moving.
