Remember seeing the first game of the 22/23 season and sat right near the dug out. Richie was basically coaching and encouraging Dan individually throughout. Think he sees a lot in him and has improved him whereby before he took over he was at risk of losing the progression he had made into the first teamMistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. Good news that.
Of the players offered contracts he was the one we probably most needed to stay. Who's left now - James, Theo and Ruel?
Edit - heavily implied we'll get another renewal announced shortly.
You’d think that Theo is nailed on to sign. Choosing to be out of contract in the middle of recovering from a long term injury is madness. The only reason he wouldn’t is if we’ve offered him something ridiculous contract wise.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. Ruel is the one we most need to sign (and arguably the least likely).Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. Good news that.

His chief forum critic '' G Shaw '' would like...... NOT to see him here next season.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:23 pmRuel is the one we most need to sign (and arguably the least likely).Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. Happy that Happe is here, though.
Difficult to type when giggling but “Ruel is the one we most need to sign” - thanks for the laughHoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:23 pmRuel is the one we most need to sign (and arguably the least likely).Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. We already have 3 equivalent standard (ish) CBs in the squad. We'd need a 4th but wouldn't prove too much of a stretch.BoniO wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 5:18 pmDifficult to type when giggling but “Ruel is the one we most need to sign” - thanks for the laughHoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:23 pmRuel is the one we most need to sign (and arguably the least likely).Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. Correct, I'm hoping he doesn't sign and we get two top notch strikers in (with Pigott going the other way)Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 5:10 pm His chief forum critic '' G Shaw '' would like...... NOT to see him here next season.
Well, it seems you must have controlled your giggling just in time as there were no spelling mistakes.BoniO wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 5:18 pmDifficult to type when giggling but “Ruel is the one we most need to sign” - thanks for the laughHoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:23 pmRuel is the one we most need to sign (and arguably the least likely).Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:50 pm Wellens has been excellent for Happe, he's still a bit passive and inconsistent but has come along a lot in the last few years despite the injuries. You won’t get a top notch striker to replace him on his money.gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 6:07 pm Good news getting the CB position sorted, now for a GK and full backs to get that defence settled.

This is the point , will we be able to move out Pigott half way through his contract . I can imagine us starting the new season with him still at the clubgshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 6:07 pm Good news getting the CB position sorted, now for a GK and full backs to get that defence settled.

ComeOnYouOs wrote ''Hard to find a player that covers so much ground in a match, who's so versatile, and scores goals'' ....So true !!ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 5:49 pm Ruel is definitely the one we need to sign
To replace him would cost a fortune
Hard to find a player that covers so much ground in a match, who's so versatile, and scores goals
I'm crossing my fingers
Moneys too tight to mention for that to happen and losing our young top goal scorer for no transfer fee would be a big blow. Ruel also covers a lot of ground and has a high work rate, Richie is a Ruel fan so the lad must obviously have something about him !gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 6:07 pm Good news getting the CB position sorted, now for a GK and full backs to get that defence settled.

Some people seem to think that if we let Ruel go, we can replace him with another Dan Agyei. If that was the case, everyone would take it. But that's not what would happen.
Exactly and that’s why I’m hoping Ruel signs againHoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:24 pmSome people seem to think that if we let Ruel go, we can replace him with another Dan Agyei. If that was the case, everyone would take it. But that's not what would happen.
