Obviously, get well soon Kev.RBMarshall wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:44 am Firstly, in my mind the best loanee Orient have ever had.
I always thought he would gain many England caps but I remember another Orient fan saying the experienced players at Arsenal at the time, who should have been his role models, were off the rails with gambling, drinking and even drugs back then, and that hampered his development at the top level.
Maybe they had a point. He still done alright but I don't think he really fulfilled his true potential but I loved this man in an Orient shirt.
Get well soon Kev.
Kev was fantastic for us, was only a teenager and not only scored 9 in 16 games, but he gave confidence to the team to get the job done that season. Over the 30 odd years I've been following the club, he stands out as the only player that pretty much single handly turned a season around.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 6:45 amObviously, get well soon Kev.RBMarshall wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:44 am Firstly, in my mind the best loanee Orient have ever had.

But he's not our best ever loanee - that accolade goes to El Miz.
He had a great career and think it's really unfair to say he didn't fulfil his potential. He was never really international level.
Fully Agree, I love Idris but Kev was far better.Fellowo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 11:17 amKev was fantastic for us, was only a teenager and not only scored 9 in 16 games, but he gave confidence to the team to get the job done that season. Idris is obviously a good player and has been a great loanee in his own right, but not a patch on Kev in my book.
I echo this. Best wishes to Kev.Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 9:20 pm This is very sad news. Enjoyed Kevin's honest and straight forward punditry on tv. Let's hope he can turn this around.
