I have a spare ticket for the Paul Weller gig on the evening of the Hearts game. There are three of us O's fans (aged 50+) already going but we have a 4th ticket. Its £95 face value.

If anyone is interested then pm me.

I remember when concert / Gig tickets were between £30 and £50 for top stars.
Premier League Football tickets are going the same way 🙄🙄

I listened to his new album on Sunday. It's not great and will take some getting used to.

I last saw him at the SEC some years ago. He was in a right mood and its the first gig ever I left early from.

95 big ones for a concert is steep. Apparently it's on the Castle esplanade. It will probably rain.

Gigs by legacy/nostalgia acts are indeed bloody crazy, but I suppose they’re aimed at people with that disposable income, as well as the fans who will go every year or two to their one gig.

There’s still plenty of great value gigs though, if you keep your eye out and if you keep in touch with newer music.

This is the most Centrist Dad thing posted on here in a while.

I don’t see what’s centrist dad about me saying that there’s no point in keeping your eye out because there’s no good music made any more

Yes, the hipness of it struck me as being a bit ridiculous.

I see Hearts are playing Spurs a few days after the Os. Hope the Os soften them up for the thrashing the huns without the bus fare deserve.

He's been releasing the same 6/10 album since post Heavy Soul in 1997 imo. Sort of Steve Winwood-lite with a bit of rocking out thrown in.

For all his (self-proclaimed- there's no evidence of him ever doing anything for the down-trodden) Socialist credentials, he sure makes sure he stays a millionaire many times over. As Littlemate has found out with £100 tickets.

I saw him in 2016. It was pretty flat. According to him, it was the crowd's fault, and he moaned during and after. He comes across as a w***** really even if he isn't.
When he came round again, prices had doubled. I decided to sit it out and leave it to his devoted followers- of which there are many.

So many so called ''Singers'' now who cannot sing.

I suppose we can’t all come out with groundbreaking tips like “if you find bands that nobody has heard of their gigs are cheaper than Rolling Stones concerts”.

What incredibly astute consumer tip are you going to come out with today?

“If you look for discarded food in the skip outside restaurants, it’s cheaper than buying groceries in Tesco”
