Radios - Prohibited at LOFC

Went to the club today to sign up for season ticket renewal and kerbed the car up in front of the turnstile entrances for the Famuly Stsnd. The notice displayed at said entry to the stadium has a list of symbols relating to stuff you can’t bring into the ground. I get that the alcohol, cans, bottles, rocket launchers, and Sherman Tanks are not welcome. I even get the ban on golf umbrellas. But why is it deemed unacceptable to bring a radio into the ground?
Answers on a postcard…

Do the catering still remove bottle tops as a lot are attached now.

They probably got wind of the notorious Mr B transistor radio incident in the south enclosure in the early 90’s.

I was at a EFL2 match this season and some dimwit two rows behind held a radio to his ear for the whole match. The social fcukwit version of playing music on your phone out loud on the bus.

Yeah, it comes to something when you can’t get any peace and quiet at a football match

Also, surely playing music out loud on your phone on a bus is the social fcukwit version of playing music out loud on your phone on a bus?
Your sentence implies that playing music out loud on a bus is reasonable, while playing commentary out loud at a match is what the equivalent, social fcukwits do

Presumably my hand-turned gramophone is not on the prohibited list? I like to listen to my 78's collection at halftime

Do the catering still remove bottle tops as a lot are attached now.
I shamefully still have a small collection of caps to use when I go to the ground, despite not going to a home game since December.

For the longest time I thought this was so people couldn’t throw bottles tops at the door players and was a huge overreaction.

Always used to be within 20 seats of some old boy with a radio to his ear back in the 80s.
