Great, more injuries. Just as well we've only got three games to go before the end of the season .

As the game went on he looked more and more like a competition winner. RW was doing his nut at times.

He can't have become a bad player overnight but it's just not going to happen for him at this Club with this manager. Time for a new start elsewhere in the summer.

I am sure It’s been said but on reflection it seems a strange signing. He is more like a Harry Smith who we got rid of and nothing like a Drinan or Kelman who are the type of players RW likes. Seems a mismatch from day one. I actually feel sorry for the lad.

Lots of over reaction around piggles. The ‘competition winner’ tag especially, when you consider who we had playing up top on Saturday.

My biggest gripe with him last night was how easily he was beaten in the air, just letting his marker stroll in front of him to win header after free header. Earlier in the season, he was at least a genuine outlet for longer balls but even that’s gone. Hope for everyone’s sake he can get a move over the summer.

One out of this world first time touch to set ONeill up should be mentioned, though.

Same. His record is alright and shows he's not a total chump, it just seems like a really bad fit all round with LOFC and RW.

Very low on confidence. Trying too hard. No supply. Not a good mix.

Piggott always comes across as a club signing and not a Wellens one, he is totally the opposite to what Wellens wants in a strike and Richie is very much his own system, for the sake of both of them, Piggott needs to leave in the summer and get a fresh chance somewhere, got a feeling Colchester might be in the running

Not there anymore, I imagine one of the key things when the Cowley's took over was they get full control of transfers

Oh God, hopefully scoring from a corner last night will buy us a bit of time before he's installed as our new Set-Piece Technician and Friday Coach.

I was there last night and Pigott did nothing all the time he was on the pitch. More importantly, you can see from the highlights that he has no idea which position to take up when a cross comes in - he seems to hide behind a defender and never shows himself to receive the ball. Truly awful.

Hopefully he won’t be here along with Moncur,Happe,Hunt and Sweaney.Ruel?

You think in the summer window we'd be able to improve on Happe, Hunt, Sweeney and Sotiriou?

Ruel gets a hard wrap 13th highest goal scorer in League One whilst not taking pens nor playing up top all the time, not saying he is the world's best but for his clumsiness, he gets goals, also has more assists than most of the players with more goals too

Happe I think and Wellens thinks he should be better than what he is really, on paper a dream a big tall CB who can pass but he hasn't really made the most of it but still more than good enough

Yes (Simpson), yes, yes and maybe (just because my faith in Ling getting 3 quality strikers signed in one window is minimal)

Yes,Happe has spent the last 3 seasons with a long term injury,we can’t afford to have players on the treatment table most of the season,Sweeny can’t cross a ball and is not robust enough for this league also inconsistent. Sotiriou is marmite. Personally I don’t rate him that highly however a posable squad member to bring off the bench plus in Wellens interview he did indicate he’s a little fiery? As a club with with a small turn over and budget we have to be more pro active in the market, sign quality players early and make sure there not injury prone,Hunt is easily replaced.

So small budget but make sure we sign 22 quality players that won't get injured? Got it.

Yes, unfortunately our budget means we can have a few quality players with the rest padded out with ex youth players, loans and journeymen. Tbf some of the loans have been far from padding out, with El Miz, Forde & Brynn all doing well.

The idea we're gonna sign a better player than Ruel for similar money to cover the same number of positions he does is crackers. He's essentially our third choice winger, no.10 and no.9, yet is our top scorer and played a key role this season. He definitely has his limitations and can be frustrating, but he's very much a keep imo.

Hunt is fine as cover, he's two footed so gives us depth in two positions.

Happe is an excellent back up to Simpson, question is whether he's happy to be that.

Agreed with all of that.

Other than Happe being back up to Simpson - genuine competition from 4 decent CBs for 2 spots if we keep them all. Maybe even an argument for playing 3 at the back.
