The billionaire Hearns

Barry and Hearn Jnr were interviewed by Piers Morgan on his show yesterday.

Piers managed to get out of them that the family stake in Matchroom is now worth over a billion.

Seems their net worth has skyrocketed since they binned us off

I say good luck to them. Once they got rid of the deadweight, time consuming Little Leyton Orient they were able to get on with making some real money. No green eyed monster treatment from me. In all my interactions with him he never once failed to make me laff.

Money does not bring class. You only have to speak to Hearn junior to find that out.

Salt of the earth, everyday working class heroes, the pair of them. Makes me proud to have contributed to their accumulated wealth.

Agree mate, listened to the interview and Barry was recalling how he was playing snooker in Romford while Eddie was being born

It’s that kind of commitment to business you don’t see in this day and age

Good luck to him.
On that basis then, if and when we move to another ground he won't want any money from T & T for Brisbane Road 🤔

I bet it was the snooker room/arena/matchroom where the sport was given a great boost by Baz and Stevie and where it all started. It's quite an intimidating environment.

Just goes to show nothing satiates greed. The way Hearn Sr cut LOFC out of any future ground profit by selling it to himself at cost price while the club was at risk of going under shows his true colours.

Unfortunately some people still fall for the showman act and fake smile and ignore the rest...

He didn`t do any due diligence in 2014. I will never forgive him.

He was desperate to get out by then. It wouldn't have mattered what the DD uncovered.

It’s a shame they didn’t make all this money 10 /15 years ago. Maybe we wouldn’t have been f*cked over so badly if so?

Or maybe I’m being naive.

In 2022 Hearn was the guest on Desert Island Discs. He made no mention of LOFC, as fan or owner.

He really played the supporters for fools.

Surely no one thinks they’re fans, do they? His boy doesn’t even like football.

Doubt it, it’s only worth £6m according to the Hearns surveyor mate.

Neither should any of us.

Funny, as he was apparently conceived on the baize too.

Does he have a controlling interest in the darts?

We were just a drain on them though, weren’t we? They’ll really get to cash in when we finally leave Brisbane Road though.

Indeed they will. It's the least we can do to reward Hearn for his sacrifices and stewardship over the years.

..quite right, and referring to the last sentence, it was these same gullible people that contributed to leaving us in the s--t as far as the eventual demise of our beloved Brisbane road goes.

I believe so, it’s still being run by Matt Poodle too by the looks of it
