I’m a huge baseball fan and the way almost all of it works is mental.
Kent is luckily very self aware that what goes in the US doesn’t work here. He was very clear when he joined that he wanted to learn about football culture is here and to buy into that, not try to change it

Exactly, and maximum respect to him for not meddling. You only have to look at the Brady & Wagner pushed Wayne Rooney car crash at St.Andrews to see how badly things can go if Americans (or any nationality) who know nothing about the sport and culture make marketing decisions that affect things on the pitch or the structure of the club.
