God help us if we end up with Susan Hall

This sort of misleading election ad is becoming the norm for the Tories.

Not confident of a Khan win, lots of anti-ulez dummies out there.

A Tory candidate who genuinely hates most of the City she wants to represent. Really odd and it's going to be much closer than it ought to be, especially with the change in the voting system.

Khan's biggest threat currently is his own mediocracy and voter apathy. But some of the Tory misinformation could also cut through, especially in the outer London boroughs.

However, I note that, despite only just being elected to represent the interests of the constituents of Rochdale, George Galloway could take also throw his hat in the ring. He could pull a proportion of the Muslim vote from Khan, and split the crank vote from Piers Corbyn.

If ol' Jezza also gets involved, then things could get proper interesting. He'll outrank Piers for the crank vote, and will draw on the substantial wet-liberal left voter share. Jezza could end up doing the Tories a favour and split the Khan base enough to see Hall win. Given how he helped them in 2019, it would at least be consistent of him.

Surely it is too late for new candidates?

It would be sweet revenge for Jez to stop Khan after the snake like behaviour of the Labour right and its bureaucrats in 2017 and 2019.

But he won't do it because he's too loyal to the Labour brand which is also his biggest political weakness.

Gifting elections to Tories is what he does best.

That was the Labour right.

There is no immutable law of the universe that says if you hate Tories you must vote Labour or its your fault when they win. Give us a better reason to vote Labour other than the pathetic "at least they're not the Tories" pish.

Without PR, I feel that voting tactically is the more intelligent and responsible thing to do.

I'd love it too but sadly Jezza is too decent and principled a man to do it.

Yes and if voting changed anything it would be abolished.

Indeed he is. I note also that he was one of the few calling for an end to genocide in Gaza. It looks like he is against the eradication of a nation.

You want yet another member of the male, pale and stale crew to deny representation of the capital's diverse communities? :(

So woke. Should be the best person for the job, regardless of their colour, age, sexuality, how big their poppy is etc.

I predict that most Muslims will vote for Hall and Christians will vote for Khan as London is wonderfully diverse and integrated. Most Londoners don’t see colour as it’s a great global city.

Maybe if you see something as obviously wrong as someone describing Khan as “pale”, you could do a quick re-read to check whether you just didn’t read properly?

I'm saying Londoners have moved beyond Pale. I was hoping for A Carribean Lesbian with transgender children to stand.

Have you ever wondered why people like Jeffrey Archer are put up to stand for election as Mayor? Your suggestion is not funny and could be deemed offensive by minority groups.

If Khan wins, and I think he will, he will change the ULEZ rules within 18 months. At the moment , to be exempt, cars have to be in the Euro 4 or above rating, but he will change this to Euro 5 or even Euro 6.
If he changes it to Euro 5, all cars registered in 2007, 08, 09 &10, will in effect have to be scrapped.
My own car falls into that range. I will have to scrap a really good car, with less than 70,000 miles on the clock, and spend around £4,000 to replace it.........money i dont have
I really am in two minds on who to vote for

Who else are you considering voting for?

I didnt see/hear him say the goalposts wouldnt be moved regarding ULEZ, if he did, thats very welcome, although he lied a few years ago, just after he increased the area for ULEZ to the North & South Circular roads. He was asked if he would increase the area again to cover all of London, and he said he wouldnt, but he lied, so im not sure I trust him now
As for who else i may vote for......I dont know who's standing atm. There may be an independent candidate i like, or one of the smaller parties.
I shall keep you posted
