Harry Kane statue

I hear that LBWF have had a HK statue in storage for a while but cannot find a site for it.
Apparently TfL have refused to have it at Chingford Station, and Ridgeway Park do not want it there.
So could Mark Devlin offer to have it down at the Orient.
After all HK has connections with us, and he would not be the only ex-O to go on to play there trade in Europe and have a statue near the ground!

HK Was & Never will be an ex O like LC.

It's a f*cking hideous statue and he had a brief, decent but not earth shattering loan spell. It's an obvious 'no'.

Its worse than that Ronaldo statue a few years back. No wonder they have never put it anywhere. £7.5k? What a waste.

Great idea to find somewhere for this at Brisbane Road. Made his professional debut here, sponsored the first team shirts for three years. Of course he didn’t have the same connection as LC but HK is England Captain, is a local boy and played here at the very start of his career. Who knows he could still come back once his contract with Bayern Munich ends.

Completely correct. He was here for five minutes and made minimal contributions. Yes he sponsored our shirts, but that doesn’t warrant a statue FFS.

LC was only here 2 seasons, playing 70 games for us.

Are you seriously comparing Laurie’s contribution to a loanee?

Why does he have a statue? He hasn’t achieved anything. David Beckham is from the borough and doesn’t have one.

I think we should have a Piggot statue in the middle of the East stand.

Obviously not. HK only played 15 games for us.
I'm saying it's a bit weird for anyone to achieve legend status at a club without playing a signifcant number of games, over a significant period of time, and making a significant contribution to that club.

HK strikes me as a decent person. Beckham is just interested in cash hence his tie in with Qatar.

Exactly right bobo. We could put it on the pitch put a red shirt on it and nobody would notice the difference.
