Some of us older O's will remember Alex being hailed as a big prospect during the Tommy Taylor era but didnt get first team opportunities under Taylor had a stand up row with him (that I saw first hand) and left to join Bolton Wanderers.
Playing for Eastbourne against Truro on Tuesday night he sustained a very serious knee injury, he could not be moved until an ambulance and specialist trauma team arrived and the game ended up being abandoned - wish him well after what sounds like a horrible injury.
Truro still have 13 games to play in National league South after the weather caused several postponements so far this season. They were tennant's at Taunton Town but the pitch there is an a terrible state too so they are now playing at Gloucester City for the foreseeable future.
