Could do a lot worse than sign Ripley as our goalkeeper for next season. Under contract to PV for next season but would have thought a decent chance of signing him esp if PV get relegated.

He pulled off two excellent saves last night but I’d rather we tried to sign El-Miz up permanently and Shaq Forde . I would wait to see what keepers are released by their clubs in the Summer. Who knows, we might be able to sign a keeper released from a Championship club

Didn’t give him much to do and his kicking was atrocious. Dived out the way of Ruels 1 on 1 that smashed the crossbar.
Think he played well in the game at their place tho?

His kicking certainly fits with our goalkeeping tradition

I thought he got a touch on the ball to deflect it on to the crossbar. It was a good save.

I think he did get a touch. Still went down when the ball was smashed straight at him.

A very good keeper in my eyes let wait and see how much we have for the budget next season we need to try and get miz on a permanent deal if we can and another striker then look at ripley if we can

Ripley will still be under contract next season so I can't see us paying a fee for him . I still think the most likely scenario if we don't go down the loan route again is to bring in a newly released keeper .

Dived out of the way by, er, getting a hand to it and saving it?

If he'd stood still, he'd have caught it.

Did I miss something? The geezer made 1 or 2 saves, kicked it out of play about 8 times and has mainly played for teams that got relegated

I'm pretty sure he had a good game at their place but agreed, didn't stand out last night.

Ridiculous. Ruel leathers that, he does what most keepers do in that situation and spreads himself, he does superbly to get a hand up to tip it onto the bar.
The guy wouldn't suit our system at all but he had a good game last night, as he did at their place.

Apparently Ashley Maynard-Brewer could be leaving Charlton. Could do worse than him too and he fits into our new 'younger players' approach.

A goalkeeper would be handy when Brynn returns.
