Macclesfield (A) Match / Exiles Thread

1st away game back in the big time. Fond memories of Moss Rose in 2001 with Jabo’s brace and Spider-Man doing his stuff on the terrace (you had to be there I suppose).

Anyway, I digress - Macc are managed by the one and only Sol Campbell who in fairness did a pretty good job in keeping them up.

Bold prediction of a successful day for the O’s 3-1. Fair play to all of you who’ve travelled.

In the past I would have listened to DD, but I'm not paying £45 for the privilege.

Weather could be a winner today - could be anybody's game. But, as always COYO's.

Surprised Brill starts. Shame for Sam.

Very disappointed Ruel gets replaced and Alabi is still on the bench. Should be giving the kid these experiences.

Surprised Deano is back but not surprised he got the nod over Sam.

Agreed with comment on Ruel. He should be on the bench.

Also surprised to see Brophy starting over Widdowson away from home, maybe he’s not 100% yet.

Has there been any news on Jobi? Do you think he’s going to feature for us again?

Not surprised at all Brill's back. Can't underestimate how much presence and communication affects the defensive line. Especially away from home

I agree because from what 'I've seen so far , I'd rather have Ruel on the bench than Alabi .

I did think that Emmanuel Osadebe might have signed for us a while back, he had previous with Edinburgh and would be a squad member here, as a high-energy defensive midfielder we could have a different option on the bench.

Notice he is playing for Macclesfield today, so will be interesting to see how he gets on. I do think that central midfield is a bit of a weakness for us.

Greetings from Donostia-San Sebastián, slow & cagey so far. A brave choice of leg wear from Campbell there.

1-0 down, poor defending generally and brill nowhere near it.

Quite a few players not in the game and need to step up - Wilkinson, JMD and usual suspects clay and ling.

From what Sky Sports have just said , it was an unstoppable curling shot into the top corner .

Good finish but should never have been given the chance.
