Both teams looked shagged by the end but a deserved win. ONeil is an absolute star, might be signing of the season.

Surely we can't..

Only negative from tonight is El Miz picking up 10th Yellow
We will miss him next 2 games
But it was good to see Sanders come on

Probably not, buts it’s a great feeling isn’t it to have our club back where it belongs, on the up.

Did the dirty side of the game really well tonight - defended from the front and took a lot of pressure off, even in the seven added minutes we never really looked like conceding, only downside was El Miz booking now out for two games.

I’m delighted to have achieved our main objective to stabilise the club in League One with guaranteed League One football next season . Now we’ve achieved that, just keep going and see where we can end up . The play offs are now a real possibility . I couldn’t be more delighted with Richie and all our players. Well done Orient.👏

Agree, he brings so much to the team. Opportunity for the others to step in - Galbraith, Sanders. Maybe the rest won’t do him any harm before the run in.

Yes, since that Burton defeat they then lost at home to Northampton and lost at home again tonight to rock bottom Carlisle..funny old game.

I thought our players looked tired after two extremely tough games in the second half against Burton . Anyway, that’s just the way it goes. We were never going to go the rest of the season unbeaten. However our response from that defeat has been brilliant.

Heroic defending tonight. They were chucking long balls down James’s throat for about 10 minutes straight at the end there and he won basically every header against some proper lumps as well.

Having Darren Pratley to come on for 10 mins to see out a game like that is such an advantage.

As for O’Neil, proper good find he is turning out to be. I’m just praying he doesn’t get injured.

Is this true? The way he reacted after being booked was as though he knew he was out.

Beckles was outstanding tonight, doing all the ‘dirty’ things like winning header after header etc

Wellens confirmed after the game. Unlike some on here I don't make things up.

Another really enjoyable game to watch with both teams giving it a proper go.

I know ONeill had some time in Ireland but to think these are his first few professional games and he’s already bossing L1. Best January signing ever.

I thought Cooper was better to be honest but Beckles was very good.

Totally agreed. Defensively superb. Brynn didn’t have a single save to make. That’s ridiculous.

Just a shame about some of his passes and clearances 😂

BoniO wrote: Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:46 pm Sotiriou never really challenges for the ball in the air. He makes a faint effort to jump for it after the defender has cleared/controlled it. He needs to toughen up a bit and get stuck in.
This is deliberate. He knows he’s not going to out jump guys he’s giving away 5 or 6 inches to, so instead tries to knock them off balance and generally be as awkward as possible.

I thought his hold up play against two lumps was excellent tonight.
