Well that says it all, it can be achieved and I’m willing to bet that in a few years there be above us like Brighton and Brentford are🤷‍♀️

You moan about our 9000 stadium, but applaud them for having a smaller stadium.

Funnily enough I thought that Barnet’s stadium was one of the better ones in the conference during our stint down there.

Key point here

' I undertook to fund the full cost of construction so that we could progress without any funding delays.'

Fair play to the owner but that's a hell of an ask for someone to sink that much cash in something they'll never get a return on. And am cynical enough to question whether that's the no stings attached statement it sounds like.

"6,000 – 8,000 capacity stadium"

That's quite a margin at that scale. There's nothing in the article to explain why it may be limited to just 6,000, or have enough space to host 8,000. Or is it 6,000 with the option to upgrade to 8,000 at future expense?

I would imagine it could be expanded if they get success .

Kleanthous has form for playing silly buggers. That's how they ended up in Harrow in the first place.

I understand why wrap-around stadiums are the norm, but I am becoming nostalgic for gaps in the corner; at least they give one a sense of where one is geographically.

Orient need to stop being obsessed with Brentford and follow Luton’s example

They are. They also got into the Premier League without having the new stadium.

As did Brentford essentially. They opened their ground in the same COVID season as they got promoted, meaning no match day income from it until they went up.

Luton is a more realistic model in the sense that it isn't as dependent on niche recruitment and owner patented data analytics.

They are. They also got into the Premier League without having the new stadium.
but - we don't know if they can stay there without a new one. And they got there in the full knowledge that a new one was coming - making it much easier to attract investment. The Brentford v Luton difference is really only one of timing, and quite a narrow one at that. That's not to say it mightn't make a big difference in the end.
