If Happe is out for any length of time, I wonder if he will be recalled

Can he be recalled?

He’s on loan. He can be recalled. My guess is RW will be reluctant to do so as he wants him to get a contract which he won’t with us. Hunt will go left back and Tom James or Brown will slot in if required.

Can’t see it happening. Brown or James will be backup

Anyone know how light is getting on at Hendon? Only step 3 but believe he’s playing regularly.
(I saw him in the friendly v Chelmsford this pre season and he was smashed all over the place).

We’ve got Harrison Sodje who made the bench a few times and is probably next in line

Has he been loaned out?

Sodje was at Bishop's Stortford getting pumped every week in National League North but that loan seems to have ended in November so assume he's back at the Club?

At least he was getting a good work out there, I guess.

I’ve seen James at CB and that absolutely has to be a temporary solution.
As for Brown, can he actually play CB? I know he’s versatile but he’s hardly a midfield enforcer. Can he handle himself as the last line of defence? I’m not convinced.
Playing players out of position is bad enough, but CB is possibly the worst position to have to do this with (apart from GK).

James is passable in a back 3 but yes, you wouldn't want him at CB in a back four.
Brown is one of those players that will do a job anywhere.

If you have to have a temporary CB I would put Pratley there and not Brown or James.

James has been one of our best and consistent players over the last 10 games on the left side of defence, it wouldn’t make sense to move him into a CB position.
Same goes for Brown, we need him in CM.

People aren't suggesting it for a laugh, it would only be out of necessity because some clown let Turns go leaving us without cover.

Playing James and Brown out of position would imo weaken the team, putting Pratley there doesn’t again imo if we have to?

Perhaps if RW really wants to play Pigott then CB could be an ideal spot for him????????? Any thoughts?

I can't see Wellens bringing him back as he is a players manager and will want him to get a contract elsewhere, though what a redemption arc if he comes back and plays himself into a new contract here

What better way to get a new contract somewhere than playing L1 football for the rest of this season.
Presumably the reason Richie won’t bring him back is the same reason he wasn’t selecting him - he doesn’t think he’s up to L1 football.

Two weeks ago though, Turns was here, Beckles didn't get a knock, Happe get injured

He can’t be recalled, but we are looking at the possibility of signing unattached players

2 trialist defenders played in the friendly game against Southampton earlier in the week. Does anybody know who they are ?

I read on the other forum that Pratley played a whole season for Charlton at centre back.

Piggott's performances have reassembled a centre back doing his best up front, but I think it's a stretch to expect him to slot in to that position for real.
