CARLSILE ON SATURDAY

Rarely have I seen a team look more doomed that Carlisle did on Saturday. They didn't do anything well. I almost felt sorry for their supporters. They travelled all that way to see a pile of poo. I'm not sure how we only won by one goal, we could have had seven. No surprise that they are 10 points adrift at the bottom. I can't see them staying up. Can anyone remember seeing a worse team in a league match?

Well they certainly were the worst team we’ve seen this season so far. I also felt sorry for their supporters. I thought our supporters were merciless towards them when the score was 3-1.

It’s reminded me a little bit of when we played Rochdale last year. They were obviously doomed as well.

I was at that game and they put up a better fight than Carlisle did

3-2 scoreline was so flattering. If Theo had scored so early on we might have seen a massacre. Feel sorry for them and hope once their new signings find their feet they get out of trouble.

Doncaster Rovers.... December 1997.
8-0.
I'm not sure what was going on with them at the time, but I do remember that they had quite a young lad in goal, yet none of their senior players gave him any kind of support at all. It's always great to see the goals flying in, but I did feel for him.

Spoke with a few of their fans before the game in the Lion and Key. They seemed a nice bunch and due to the train strike some of their coaches left Carlisle at 2.30am.
All in order to watch their poor team who look like they will be relegated.
I felt a bit sorry for them TBH

They’ve always had a large London branch so gent usually get a good following down here, can’t imagine many of them made the trip down from Cumbria for that.

200-300 from the South East. 600 from Cumbria. They had sold over 800 tickets but due to train strikes not sure if as many actually attended
