Orient Outlook Travis Q&A

Just put this on during the Monday commute in place of my usual true crime podcasts on BBC Sounds, a good open discussion and he confirmed the club wants to "go for it" this season given our current position.
Transfer window was "good but not spectacular" which was I think the general feeling prior to the RW interview.
One striker signing was badly handled by the selling club, I'm trying to picture NT going full Malcolm Tucker at their CEO, maybe we should hire in Peter Capaldi to do a dramatisation
RW has suggested improvements to recruitment processes, so perhaps summer window will be done a bit more efficiently, we shall see.
Stakeholder groups to hear more about club future plans next week, we will be at BR for a while yet.

Sounds good. I’ll listen to it later.

RW’s outburst was described by Travis as we’ve all said things we regret, which is fair enough. Confirmed the relationships between NT/ML/RW are good and strong.
You don’t want Ritchie to lose his passion, but he really needs to be engage his brain before opening his mouth.
We all love him whatever though
Onwards and upwards.

Thanks for the post shaw, a couple of ovs from what you said. Is Wellens sending out a message to other clubs with that interview? Is it easier to blame the other club after all they’ve had best part of a week to get a striker in and let’s face it,it’s been our main problem for over a season. Has he been reading peoples reaction on social media about the way they conduct there transfer activity especially in the summer?. But before anyone replies saying I’m anti O’s I’m not. Think we have improved immensely over the last season or two and imo I haven’t seen many teams in this division that play better football than we do

Has Richie said he regrets saying what he said?
Fair play to the club for throwing up the Bat-Signal to the Outlook boys and getting this out so quickly.

Good luck for that without a recognised striker...

“I’m obsessed with succession planning and talent management” says the man with a background in HR who oversaw the Embleton, Fletcher, Embleton, Jobi, Jackett experiment.

He clarified that. He said ‘making sure we have all the equipment’. Providing footballs for training=promotion

We had Kelman and Drinnan.
This season all we've got is Agyei on the treatment table.

Ruel obviously has a role to play in the squad but just take Saturday as an example. With Agyei or an equivalent senior striker up top instead, we would have absolutely demolished Carlisle.
Takes some front to say 'we're going for it' after that transfer window.

Just listened to the NT interview. We’re very lucky to have him. Come on Orient

Top scorer last year was Smyth with 10. Shaq has already got 8 this year, and Ruel 7.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the line is "another Club did it and ran away". It's not the first time that Travis has exported blame for something we screwed up internally, and naturally this plays very well with the majority of fans.

His explanation for how they’re ‘going for it’ is arguably worse than not getting an experienced striker

Really not sure what kind of owners would prevent you having a negative outlook tbh. Bit sad.

Lingy literally said they’re not going for it last week.
I don’t mind them not going for it. I understand the reasons why they wouldn’t this season.
Just don’t treat us like idiots and lie about it.
