A fee wow, great business by the club there for a player who's out of contract soon and been injured much of the season. Well played Mr Ling, well played :lofc:

If I’d paid even a penny for Drinan I’d want it to be undisclosed as well

I wish him luck at Swindon, he certainly wasn’t the best player to wear an Orient shirt, but he always gave 100% and I wish him well.

I’m assuming it’s the case because Moncur is still here and someone needs to pay for his Jaffa Cake habit whilst he’s still around getting splinters in his backside.

Feel a bit mean now. Agree he was an absolute grafter, just not at the level we need now. Hope he does well at Swindon.

First season Drinan was the exact sort of player you need in league 2. Strong, quick, versatile, hardworking and capable of scoring a decent number of goals as a supporting forward. Last season he never got into any sort of rhythm because of injuries and wound up looking terrible. Obviously this season he's barely featured.

One of those where he's worth a punt in the right set up at a lower level on the chance he comes good again. Will give his all and maybe rediscover fitness and confidence.

It wouldn't surprise me - providing he doesn't have another long injury lay off - if he does well at Swindon.

If he can stay fit he’ll do ok for them.

It’s just a question of whether he can stay fit or not.

Swindon are not allowed to pay or promise any transfer fees, loans fees etc
From bbc report

‘The club is prohibited from paying or committing to pay any transfer fee, compensation fee or loan fee during the current window.’

Honestly, even if Lingy got a bag of training balls from Swindon, this is the best deal he’s ever done for us.

He was serviceable in league two before the Injuries.
Somehow we’ve managed to move a striker who can’t hit a barn door anymore, has scored about 3 goals in two years and can’t run for the bus without pulling a hamstring

Be interesting to see if he can score goals at league 2 level, for a different team. I doubt he will because he lacks any quality, but no way do we get a fee.

As others have said, Swindon are under an embargo, they are not allowed to pay any fees during this transfer window
