Football for a Fiver Offers

As far as I know the club haven’t announced which fixtures will be chosen for these great offers.
Anyway, I think somebody mentioned on here that these £5 games often coincide with ‘International Break’ weekends.
The dates in question are 7th Sept / 12th Oct / 16th Nov and 28th March and we appear to be at home on each of these dates.
Seems a strange coincidence, but anyway I wonder if or when the club will announce if we will have these offers this season or not ??

Ah, Ok, Many Thanks for the information.
I hadn`t seen anything on the website about these offers......We should get a decent crowd for both games providing results are ok.

Got 3 Orient v Walsall tickets for £5 each yesterday.
Out of interest - where did you get the leaflet?

Yes, i didn`t see any leaflets on Saturday either, nor any mention on the website.
I guess the club will promote the games nearer the date.

Just noticed that the home Walsall tickets on sale for October 12th – had agreed to meet a Villa supporting Brummie mate there for an occasional catch-up (occasionally I see the Villa away instead) - and knowing nothing of this offer was pleasantly gobsmacked to get both tickets for a tenner.

I am a match day steward. The leaflets were in our office. Normally they would be in the club shop
Ah, East Stand shop wasn't open on Saturday.

Sat 12th v Walsall. Ticket sales going well, less than 80 seats left for O's fans. Now an all ticket match. Walsall have already sold 575

Only seats I saw remaining (just 2) were for carers. Not sure my mother in law will be too pleased when I wheel her in on Saturday, but only way I can get a ticket now.

Joking aside, it's worth going into the supporters club, they often have some spares

Completely forgot about the offer so have left it too late. If anyone happens to have 2+ spares going please drop me a message! Happy to pay face value or donate to JE3 Foundation as the SC does for spares.

Walsall is sold out. Wonder if there will be pay on the day behind Walsall support? They have sold around 650 tickets, so away end is half full. Should be 8,000 plus

They've sold 600 so I don't think that would be logistically possible. Hopefully the club can get a few returns that they can sell on, and people pass on their spares.
This will be the biggest away following with one of these deals, so hopefully we can get close to 8,000.

Also unlike Swindon game, England aren't playing at Wembley that afternoon. England are playing on Friday night in Czech Republic. Also Ireland v Samoa rugby kicks off at 11.45 (typhoon permitting), so can get down pub early for that.
Only clash is Georgia v Ireland kicking off at 2pm, but can watch first half before getting in for 3pm Kick Off. Shame it wasn't a 5pm Kick off, would have been a perfect day out.

Well done to the club. Season ticket holders, make sure you get your arses down to the ground or pass your tickets back to the club.

The club needs to be a bit better at communicating how many tickets are available before games, particularly away from home. Often it will be the day before the game or so late that there isn't much you can do if you haven't got a ticket yet.

I think that the home fixture with Scunthorpe on the 16th November is also a “ Football for a Fiver” game so those that don’t have a season ticket should consider buying early to avoid disappointment.
