Agyeis celebration
Any ideas what iconic celebration he was replicating today? It was a looong way away but appeared to involve the corner flag?

Superb.
Loving the effort that’s going into these.

See, I told you he’s doing these on purpose! I wonder what he’ll do agains Carlisle. Only “famous” scorer I can think of is that goalie who scored the last minute winner to keep them in the league about 25 years ago. Maybe he’ll slip on keeper gloves and incite a pitch invasion?Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 6:56 amOyinbO wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 11:49 pm Andy Carroll

Re: Agyeis celebration
Some refs may have booked him for mis-use if the corner flag!
On a different tack, I’m not a lover of all this shenanigans in the run up to a penalty - should be in The Laws that it must be a clean run and strike. IMO.

Make you right on both counts, some refs would have pulled him for the run up, some would have booked him for removing the corner flag.Orient_Man_And_Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 4:13 pm Some refs may have booked him for mis-use if the corner flag!

From the Laws of the game: "feinting to kick the ball once the kicker has completed the run-up (feinting in the run-up is permitted); the referee cautions the kicker"

You can understand why.
But as I’ve said earlier, I thought Saturdays ref was really bad so not surprised he let it go.

Re: Agyeis celebration
Why do they want to do these, IMO, silly acting-style celebrations. Handshake, fist-bump, chest-jump and then get back to the centre circle and get another goal.
