Would be brilliant if this is what he was doing but that is a massive reach.

I'm not claiming it.
People on social media mentioned him doing the Benjani, all of a sudden he is doing Kevin Nolans Chicken v Bolton. Cambridge probably don't have such a famous goalscorer. Reading will be interesting if he scores. The Shane Long or The Jobi ?
5.45 He is definitely doing the Benjani.
See it clearly with the replay from behind the Goal.

How’s it a massive reach in any way? He literally pointed out individual Pompey fans whilst doing the Benjani celebration last week. Then Nolan this week. Not a reach at all.

Ha ha, I know right? Such an odd comment when he’s clearly doing it

I’ve literally never even heard of ‘The Benjani’ before yesterday. Is it a well known thing?

Probably celebrating the fact that it's 8 years since Kevin Nolan became manager

It's Joe, maybe you need to stop reading up on the difference between a 4 an 8 & a 10 as if it impresses people, Just get a broad knowledge of the game & you to can realise the brilliant sense of 5hithousery going on in Dan Agyeis head.

I do feel foolish for not knowing the Benjy, I have to say.
What are McAnuffs and Shane Longs iconic celebrations that we can look forward to seeing next weekend?

The Benjani & Chicken dance celebration are relatively well known as is the link between player/club where they originated. Also worth noting that they would have originated around the time Dan Agyei was a youngster so he would have probably been aware of them at the time. So it’s quite believable suggest that he has been doing those celebrations on purpose to wind up opposition fans.
Nobody is seriously suggesting that every single club we play in league 1 will have a recognisable player celebration that can be used as sh*thousery. It’s just a coincidence that we happened to play two clubs which do have them and Agyei happened to score in both. The Jobi comment, I suspect, was a little bit of sarcasm.
Hope that clears everything up for those who are getting a bit confused by this.

Yeah, this bit makes perfect sense.
I look forward to discovering other iconic goal celebrations of the early 2000s in the coming weeks.
