Jonson Clarke-Harris
Peterborough and Charlton have agreed a fee of £500k. Charlton offered him a contract which bettered his deal at Peterborough - He turned it down. Charlton offered him an improved contract and now he's turned that down too. He did the same last season when Peterborough agreed a transfer fee for him to go to Bristol Rovers and it broke down on personal terms - Good goal scoring record but I bet he's a nightmare to manage.

Re: Jonson Clarke-Harris
Maybe he just didn't want to go to a side playing much further down the table than his current club?

Peterborough are 2nd. He could be in The Championship next season or if he's out of contract will have his pick of clubs.

Re: Jonson Clarke-Harris
Yeah but he's not wanted at Posh so I doubt they will offer him another deal but who knows - I guess he would rather let his contract run down and hope he can get a bigger contract elsewhere, although he has a good goal scoring record it's a dangerous game to play.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 11:59 am Peterborough are 2nd. Re: Jonson Clarke-Harris
Is he not wanted? Played 24, scored 10 this season. Is this not just the usual Peterborough policy of listing players in the last year of their deal?

Maybe, just maybe he's happy where he is and doesn't want to move his family South for whatever reasons . Why is everything always about money . I say good on him for standing his ground .

If I were an agent that cared for my client then I would not be advising him to join Charlton. They are not a well run club (atm) and will be placing a bigger than normal reliance on his contributions.

Its about money because clubs have to balance books & if he leaves in the summer he could end up like PigottRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:31 pm Maybe, just maybe he's happy where he is and doesn't want to move his family South for whatever reasons . Re: Jonson Clarke-Harris
That's from the clubs point of view . The player himself might not be greedy for money and values other things in his life more highly . I'm only speculating but there's obvioulsy something stopping him from wanting to earn more moneyJoe315 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 2:18 pmIts about money because clubs have to balance books & if he leaves in the summer he could end up like PigottRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:31 pm Maybe, just maybe he's happy where he is and doesn't want to move his family South for whatever reasons . Sad that you have to jump on the let’s call Joe “Tuffers”bandwagon the bloke that started it is a complete tool so maybe an idea to stop following others and be a bit more original. It’s also really tedious tbh.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 4:49 pmOf course tuffers but like I said I'm only speculating .Joe315 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 4:14 pmA Player who lives at Home with Mummy & Daddy perhaps.
