It does show that the vast majority of L1 clubs have yet to bring anyone in - we are not alone.

Conor Wilkinson has done absolutely nothing for a terrible Motherwell side, certainly didn't justify having a poncey shirt number like 99.

Why is he a great signing for Carlisle , only one goal in 15 appearances . You would be going mad if we signed a player with those stats !

But was his a number 9 who thought he was 11 times better, or a number 10 that was only 9.9 time better? Or was he a flake? These things matter.

Yes they have and good luck to them, our short break has fell nicely for the O’s and a good Christmas has basically given the green light not to sign anyone, supporters at the Cambridge game we’re saying exactly that. If they sign someone I would expect it to be a wide player?and my guess it won’t be until the end of January as to save on wages unless they loan someone out.

Why do some think we are safe and signing players is not so important. Even the teams near the top will try to improve their squads

Based on Wellens’ latest interview where he basically said that he has no interest in the business of signing players I honestly don’t think we will bring in anyone of note. At best a loan or two of kids who have never played league football. I suppose that’s better than previous years where we signed blokes who hadn’t played competitive football for over a year (Lyden)

Teams near the top have an incentive to improve their squad at this time of season

Teams at bottom similarily

teams who believe they are safe have no such incentive to spend money

We're not safe until we're safe . We need about another 20 points from 21 games .

When people talk about us not signing players in January, it seems to ignore that we brought four players in last winter window, 2 of which (Turns and Sadlier) were pretty important to our promotion. McCart was also on paper a decent signing who fit Wellens style but happened to be quite bad at defending.

I think we'll bring a forward player who's capable of playing all three positions up top, and maybe a full back to address our lack of cover out there, though imagine that'll be a cheaper option.

Silly to think we are safe. Get a few injuries and suspensions and we could be in trouble with the squad we have

I do not think Orient are safe and would not agree with people who say they are

That's the Cowley Brothers impact.

We look slightly safer, than we did before Christmas, but in the past 53 points hasnt been enough, so we need 22 points from 21 games, with some very hard games to come .
We need decent ( league 1 standard) players in the building, even on loan, theyll improve the standard, and we can buy in the summer

accepting your saying Orient need 54 points to stay up ( I personally do not think they need that many though)

You say Orient need 22 points from 21 games. That is an average of 1.04 points per game

You also say
We need decent ( league 1 standard) players in the building, even on loan, theyll improve the standard, and we can buy in the summer

Yet with the current bunch of players Orient have so far got 32 points from 25 games . That is an average of 1.28 points per game.

The current players are averaging a far higher average points haul than you say the need to survive.

Some would deduce the current squad is therefore good enough to survive and consists of decent league 1 standard players already in the building

Don't be surprised if a certain striker of "US descent" ends up with us. I know of no rumours, but he's a Ritchie type forward.

My QPR supporting golfer friend says their supporters club gossip is that he is on his way to us permanently for a small fee.

Not only is he a RW type, RW has spoken of him in good terms in post match interviews.

Trouble is injuries and suspensions kick in and we don’t have the depth

TBH, Kelman isn't Championship standard . In fact I'm not sure he's even League 1 standard but if Richie wants him that's good enough for me .
