Personally surprised to see this as we approach 2024.

'Was that her on the pitch yesterday with bloke going down on her?'
Wouldn't have thought so.

It was utter cringe. And anyone who forces their partner into a public proposal is a manipulative bumhole. Hopefully she had the good sense to wait until they got somewhere more private and told him where to stick his ring. This won't end well.

In the area where live, there appears to be some sort of competition going on among attention seeking young men as to who can arrange the most newsworthy marriage proposal. Vomit inducing stuff. Of course, about half of them split up before they even get as far as actually getting married. Still, they probably look back on their 15 mins of fame with great pride

I agree , why do people do that nonsense so publicly? Why do they have to go down anyway, seems madness in these times. The poor girl put on the spot like that.

A pal of mine is gay, and his - newish - partner decided a couple years ago that the Raith Rovers Player of the Year event would be a great opportunity go down on one knee and pop the question. They split up within months. Still feel sorry for my pal being put on the spot like that.
