Richie 9.
Set us up perfectly and got the players at it from the start.

The one handed 2nd half save from Brynn was fantastic.
Hunt was excellent today and Forde looks better out wide than through the middle IMHO
We def looked more solid with Pratley and El Miz in midfield and it was a tight game that looked to heading for a 0-0.
Beckles looked back to his old self and weighed in with the all important goal created by, I think Dan Agyei, who was excellent after coming on.

Would bump up Forde and Miz, and put Ruel down a mark. Otherwise agreed.
Agyei would get an 8 as he changed the game and did brilliantly for the assist.

A bit harsh on Forde and too generous to Sotiriou but pretty accurate otherwise.
Brynn made the saves he needed to today, after past few weeks he got down quicker to that shot near the end that kept it 1-0
Also Agyei 8 for changing the game with his trickery when he came on and Brown 7 for winning the ball in the buildup

Think Ruel deserves a 6 just for the work he did off the ball. Today was all about being disciplined and stopping them from playing.

I didn’t see the game but Ruel was never worth a 6!

Don’t think Shaq did enough on the ball to warrant higher. (Still happy enough with his performance in a new position and looking forward to see him there again).

Felt a bit sorry for El Miz today. Lots of scooped percentage balls over the top of midfield and the team not trusting themselves to build through the middle like last season, but maybe they are correct not to.
Anyway he played in be superb pass out to Forde in the first half, first time, behind the full-back. No-one else in the team could have managed.
Defence pretty sound bar some early wobbles and that final save from Brynn was a match-winner.
Thought overall it was lots of effort with a tiny spark of quality that got the job done.

I think the result might be covering for the fact that overall it was a pretty poor performance.
Thankfully Charlton were awful. Possibly the worst performance from an opposition I’ve seen all season. They really were all over the place. The reaction from their fans at the end was a bit OTT. You’d think they were in the relegation zone the amount of grief they were dishing out to their own players and staff.
Anyway, back to Orient. Does Agyei only play 15 mins because he’s still getting back up to match fitness? If so, then we need to get him up to speed asap because the bloke does look like he’s the business.
Ruel was a passenger and absolutely cannot lead an attacking line from the centre.
The fact that Pigott is now dropped to the bench shows what a poor signing he has been. Moncur being left on the bench is also not good. He needs to be moved on ASAP in Jan.

We made Charlton loon awful by the way we set up to defends so aggressively, forcing them to launch long balls under pressure to Midgie May.

And Richie needs to keep on doing exactly what he’s doing with Agyei.

I wouldn’t say we were poor.
Maybe first half there were too many mistakes which let in Charlton but we tightened up second period and I thought the goal was coming and deserved.
What I thought was impressive was the work rate and discipline. We ground Charlton out of the game, made them
look poor, and found some quality to get a winner.
We’ve got obvious limitations at this level but the team
are looking for solutions. As I said previously it doesn’t feel
like we are getting the best out of El Miz the way we played today but maybe it cuts our concessions in dangerous areas.
Ageyi looks very good, but I trust Richie to bring him back carefully with the long term in mind.
Thought Ruel worked really hard and was a big part of disrupting their game.
Weirdly Forde was my biggest disappointment, thought he looked one-paced and failed to beat his man every time.

Many football supporters do not appreciate or wish to take in work done off the ball and Ruel is a Marmite sort of player anyway !
Hector Kyprianou was similar in that respect, not rated by many Os supporters but now doing well at second in the League Peterborough and would not surprise me at all if Ruel was to end up joining Hector at the ''Posh'' !

Really poor game imo but a good result from our point. I didn’t think Ruel played well today and as I’ve said before he needs to play alongside another striker,he can’t lead the front line on his own. Beckles made a difference because he’s good in the air and Charlton were a poor side that played to Beckles strengths. If Agyei isn’t fit enough what’s he doing on the bench? You should always start with your strongest team plus he’s no target man he’s better playing wide right like today,If playing 3 up front would rather see Theo,Forde and Agyei. Did anyone spot Theo moving the refs marker forward for the free kick in the second half
priceless

Completely correct about Ruel, he needs to be playing alongside a target man type of centre forward, which Pigggot is not ! Thing is, at present we have to play with the players we have and make the best of it even if it means some players having to play in positions they are not fully suited for.
From all accounts though, Ruel worked hard but lacked support. Hopefully we shall see more of Agyei as he gets fitter in his injury recover, his run and assist for Os goal was really good, hopefully more to follow soon !

Very generous, I should have gone to Specsavers before they closed for Christmas.
Was so boring I missed the attendance announcement. Anyone know what it was and how many Charlton please?

Another near full house of 8,700 odd. Apparently about 2,000 people turned up dressed as empty seats.

It was announced as 8700 something, which is, I think the biggest ‘crowd’ of the season.
There were loads of empty seats in the North and more than usual in the East
I reckon the actual crowd was around 7,000
