What was this for? Foul and abusive language?

Near us someone said for throwing a water bottle at the 4th official, utter lunacy after going 1-0 down, Varney going off and then going off himself

After we scored they lost their safe discipline and that's what really cost them the game .

I saw the bottle thrown &, to be honest, I thought hit one of our players by the dugout. But yeah, apparently it hit the 4th official:

I doubt it was intended to hit him (& possibly not anyone else). But I did think it was thrown with more force than if it was just tossed to the ground after taking a drink. And after the Dayton shin-pad sending off, it doesn't really surprise me that he was given a red.

Aside from the pen let off, which I’ll have to see again. The ref and especially the Lino by the west stand were refreshingly good.

Dunno if we got a good one or they just look good from 2 years in the NL.

No GBH seen..In the Nl league that first sending off maybe wouldn’t have even been a yellow much less red

Michael Duff; "- Rohan had a drink of water, walked onto the pitch and because he's disappointed that Reg has just been sent off, he's thrown the bottle, an empty plastic bottle, it's hit the fourth official. He seems to think he did it intently. I am not sure Rohan's aim is that good that he can hit someone five or six yards away, walking the other way. There is not a lot I can do about that one, but I think it's very soft, particularly after what's gone on in the 60 minutes before that".

There was an aerial challenge just after the second sending off where the Cheltenham player looked like he deliberately took a run at Ekpiteta and lead with his elbow that I thought looked more than a bit naughty. Surprised he got away with that.

Indeed, back in proper football the rules are actually applied. Refreshing to watch.

Thought Ince looked half decent in midfield for them as well.

1st sending off 2nd yellow , 2nd sending off laughable , the water bottle was empty and he would have go have been a dead eye shot to hit the official .

Did Brill pick up his injury in that duel with Varney, or was it later?

Think the fourth official was a bit self important, made a meal of being hit by an empty plastic bottle.

Yes, he got concussion from contact with Varney. But, er, deffo wasn’t a penalty. Cough.

Red card for Varney then for kicking Brill in the head?

Yellow for a dive and strangely a yellow for an elbow

Translation: the ref made a number of questionable decisions, but it's ok as they were all in our favour.

This was pretty much the impression I got. Homer Simpson.

Wouldn't have argued had he given a pen. Need to see the replay.

The only other questionable decision would be the second sending off. Didn't see it but if the player threw something Dayton got sent off for the same so should be a red for Cheltenham also.

All the niggly tackles were given as fouls against both sides, tell me what other ones were dubious?
