Get Ling to earn his (extremely large) wage at shifting Moncur, Thompson and Sweeney to League 2 clubs to free up money for wages. I'd cash in on Sotiriou and Happe too as both could attract a fee and can go for free in summer, calculated gamble but money is money. Drinan would've been on the list too but now he's injured I think no chance of moving on now.

Also fire the Set Piece Coach who should never have been appointed in the first place.

We’re the only club struggling with FFP in League 1. Its all a load of bollocks.

There's ways& means to get around the ffp rules.
Salford were doing it for years.
The club is owned through a holding company, and that's how you do it I believe
Anyway, as I've said, we have a dozen millionaires on the board, who are loaded. They have the money already. Anyone who owns a pro football club knows they have to spend a lot, those that don't want to, don't own football clubs.
If they don't want to spend, theyll be owning a league 2 club from May next year.
We need quality, real quality, and move the sub standard players on.
Ling needs to start earning his massive salary I think and get McMahon out, he isn't needed at all

Spot on , stop staffing money on coaches that are not needed and player’s that are clearly not of league 1 standard.

Agree with all of this. Maybe minus Ruel, who is about the only player who’s chipping in with goals.

A shake up with a few fresh faces will help. Too much dead wood who aren’t contributing to the required standard.

I trust Richie but he has to be backed. Going into the season with our current strike force was ludicrous

The return of the Ling haters, predictable and pathetic.

Wellens has already said at the LOFT AGM he knows he will need to move a couple on to get new blood in.

And that is the problem, insufficient funds to do what’s needed without moving players on !!

Ling has brought that on by wasting more of "not my money" on employing his mate. Ling Jr situation Mk2

So whose fault is it that we have had to spend our wage budget up front because of loads of injuries in August? Our wage money is spent and we have to wheel and deal.

Your only answer to everything is to put in more money. Keep on doing that and clubs get into serious trouble and you will still be blaming the same people if that happens.

McMahons money isn’t included in playing budget though. Has no effect but scapegoat Ling anyway eh!

Budget for staff is a separate entity.

There are players in this squad that should have been moved on in the summer and not given a new contract.

Have to then ask did we get value for money? Squad seems very thin despite 5 of the squad being loans.

If money is that tight you don't waste 50k on a set piece coach. Something is very suspect about it all.

We need to move on 4 maybe more players in Jan. Also who knows whether some of the loans may be recalled, might need to replace them too even if we don't want to.

I agree with all of this . Although he works hard I think Aaron could be on his way out in the Summer .

Has to be a foregone conclusion at this point surely. Posing no goal threat and constant hamstring issues.

Travis doesn't split which budget when he talks about minimizing losses. We've either got money to waste or we don't.

Only really Thompson and perhaps Sweeney but Wellens wanted them both that’s to stay that’s not a director of football decision.

Er he’s does actually - openly stated we had £3.6 million playing budget earmarked at the start of the season and £400k for January players wages. We had to spend the £400k to give RW options in September.

Fair enough but it's still a financial out going which is a waste of money . He hasn't improved our set pieces one iota .

I would not disagree but it does not effect the squad budget directly absolutely no improvement at all on set peices so get rid.

I can see Moncur, Beckles and when fit Drinan going out on loan in January to free up some Money and get some games, Defensively we haven’t been too bad but losing Graham was a real blow I would bring in a winger and a striker.

Billy Sharp has been mentioned on here before . It's an interesting idea but I don't know . It's down to the club to decide if whether we should go for him . He's a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy so if we decided we wanted him we could go for him straight away .
