Draw happening now. Jobi doing the balls.
Personally would like a non-league team at home.

Pretty dull tie. Glad it’s at home though.

Ain't gonna be many glamour ties in the 1st round. Two home cup ties in 4 days with the EFL vs Pompey match on 7th Nov. Likewise glad that both are at home.

Not much worse. Carlisle must be sick of us.

Not many 'classic FA Cup' ties at all, though as mentioned below, good day out for Cray at Charlton. Probably be Hereford v Gillingham and Chesterfield v Pompey on the box.

Cray were the team which reached the FA Teapot trophy the same day we played Fylde in the FA Tinpot trophy, aren’t they?
Funny how some teams become cup specialists. I noticed that Marine FC club who played Spurs a few years back made it to the first round again even though they play in something like the 7th tier.

Nice to be at home, for a change.
Winnable tie too

You have a strange definition of dull.

You think a cup draw at home against a team in the same division as us, who we will have played only a couple of weeks previously is not dull?
I get that you’re coming after me because I called you out for claiming that some people on a Leyton Orient message board politely enquiring as to the situation of an abandoned game involving Leyton Orient is “hysteria” but you’re just making yourself look silly here.
They little personal vendettas some people on this board hold is really weird behaviour. It makes them say things that in isolation are just odd.

Some "localish" derbys in the draw: Oxford/Maidenhead, Swindon/Aldershot, Port Vale/Burton but I can't work out whether Wigan or Carlisle fans will have the longest distance to travel.
I doubt if there will be any movement of the time/date of our game as we have the EFL Cup match the following Tuesday.

Pretty dull to me too. Always more fun playing against a non league team

You mean losing so that we can ‘concentrate on the league’?
Seriously, it would be nice to have a game or two against much higher teams and have a good day out putting the s@@@s up ‘em.

Serious question.
In his time here has Ritchie won a knockout cup game? I'm not sure we have.

Agree too, it is a 'dull' cup draw.

He's only had three of them.

Don’t quite understand why it’s a dull FA Cup 1st round draw?
We are at home and it’s a winnable game, so for me it’s a good draw, bring on Carlisle, let’s beat them and get in the draw for the 2nd round.

But we have lost them all?
Now is the time we change that. 2 or 3 home wins in the cup helps the budget....

I suppose that's what happens if you keep losing them.

a bit difficult in Round 1 when you're in League 1.
If we do get to the 3rd Round, there's a fair chance we'll end up getting another ropey draw.
2011 was a fine example, almost every single draw was disappointing, but we kept winning them and we eventually got our reward.
