This Is Going To Get Ugly But......

Why was Jobi McAnuff given a 1 year contract extension on 20/21 May when is should have been known he had a serious groin problem - a "hang-over" from the 2018 / 2019 season? Perhaps "imbedded" players are not given medicals before their contracts are extended? It now appears that he is going to be out approx. 8 to 10 weeks before he is match fit, ( 4 weeks post operation + 4 to 5 weeks to get to match fitness.)
Jobi did a great job last season but sentiment is a very poor reason to make a business decision. We have seen a couple of sentimental decisions made by the club recently e. g. James Alibi and James Dayton. I am sure that Justin, R.I.P., would not have agree to all these decisions, although he obviously agreed to the McAnuff one, ( nobody's perfect!)
What do we do now? Bring in a loan signing to cover right wing / right midfield for 2 months? Extra expense etc.!
It seems Jobi can't lose on the deal that the club has given him. He now gets paid handsomely to recover from a long term injury and operation AND is able to add to his coaching experience / coaching qualifications, ( apparently he has UEFA "B" but is now pursuing UEFA "A" and UEFA "Pro",) all at Orient's expense.
I suppose my above comments all end up as criticisms of Martin Ling who is ultimately responsible for these decisions,. ( and who recently had his own contract extended.) Martin has done a lot of things right over the past 2 years but that does not mean he should be above criticism. He has made some mistakes. More so recently
I feel sympathy for Kent Teague and Nigel Travis who are financing these excesses / mistakes.
I am a Leyton Orient supporter, not a Jobi McAnuff, James Alibi, James Dayton or a Martin Ling supporter. My concern is for the club I love, ( and my father and grand-father loved.)
Some people are "taking liberties" here.
O.K. I have my" hard hat" on and am ready for the "flak" that is gonna come my way.
I am not a fence sitter !
