Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
7th in the form table in the last 5 games and our next 4 games are all against teams in the bottom half. Think our start was very hard and we are seeing that we are very much a mid table team right now, which I’m more than happy with.

Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
Through system and personnel changes the defence seems to have stabilised a bit now. It's coincided with Cooper coming in who along with Graham getting up to speed have made a noticeable difference.

It’s been a tremendous turnaround since a shaky start. Having a decent GK between the sticks has made a big difference. Sol was immense today.

Howes started against Blackpool, Happe didnt. You sure its all down to Brynn ?The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 6:52 pm It’s been a tremendous turnaround since a shaky start. Having a decent GK between the sticks has made a big difference. Sol was immense today.

And Howlers hasn’t been anywhere near the first team since. Richie knows what he’s doing.Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:08 pmHowes started against Blackpool, Happe didnt. Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
I thought we started a bit slowly today, and Shrewsbury could have scored in that first 10 min period.
Brynn pulled off a great save when their striker was clean through, and this was a key moment as if they score first it could’ve been a different story.
I thought that Beckles and Cooper were excellent and either could’ve been MOTM for me.

Bit harsh on Howes as he played well at Blackpool AND he was thrown in at the deep end.The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:09 pmAnd Howlers hasn’t been anywhere near the first team since. Nonetheless, Brynn is the better GK without question.

Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
Same here . I would take a mid table finish right now with both hands . The only thing I want from this season is to finish outside the bottom four . Anything else would be a bonus .Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 6:08 pm 7th in the form table in the last 5 games and our next 4 games are all against teams in the bottom half. Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
Howlers looked out of his depth playing against 17 year olds on Tuesday. Brynn is in a different stratosphere. What is bizarre is that Howlers is way older than both other GKs in the squad so it’s hardly like he’s here to learn from others. A really bizarre signing that makes no sense whatsoever.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:24 pmBit harsh on Howes as he played well at Blackpool AND he was thrown in at the deep end.The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:09 pmAnd Howlers hasn’t been anywhere near the first team since. He's on the bench every game & only a red card o an injury away from coming on. Are you sure you know how Football works ?The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:09 pmAnd Howlers hasn’t been anywhere near the first team since. Ok, let me rephrase slightly:Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:35 pmHe's on the bench every game & only a red card o an injury away from coming on. “Nowhere near the first team unless extreme circumstances force him to fumble his way back to looking completely out of his depth until the proper GK returns”
Better?

Ared card can be given in the 1st minute of a game , ask Jens Lehman. Hardly extreme. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:53 pmOk, let me rephrase slightly:Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:35 pmHe's on the bench every game & only a red card o an injury away from coming on. Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
GKs getting sent off I hardly a common occurrence. When was the last time an Orient keeper got sent off in a league match? Has it happened at all in the past 5 years?Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:02 pmAred card can be given in the 1st minute of a game , ask Jens Lehman. Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
Brynn nearly broke his foot getting off a bus. Keep him wrapped up & Happe away from the starting line up untill we need to change. We'll pick up more points that way.The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:07 pmGKs getting sent off I hardly a common occurrence. Sad to see the same guy making everything about the keeper who didn't play once again. Boring..
Great win today, fun game.

I agree it’s very boring. I make a comment about how well Brynn played today and this Joe315 guy starts waffling on about Howlers. Some people are obsessed.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:54 pm Sad to see the same guy making everything about the keeper who didn't play once again. Boring..

Don't think it's happened in 5 years, maybe not even in 10The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 8:07 pmGKs getting sent off I hardly a common occurrence. The closest thing in terms of the #2 keeper playing a full game was Vigoroux picking up a mysterious "injury" (wink wink nudge nudge) at the tail end of last season that gave Sam Sargeant a chance to get a game in once the title was won

Genuine question for you:
go back on this thread and tell me which boarder first mentioned Howlers and then proceeded to steer the conversation in that direction.
Was it me?
Yes or no.

Re: 1 defeat in 6 league games
I start a thread about our form since Blackpool & you obsess about making derogatory names about Samuel Howes. I've never used a derogatory name about Dan Happe. You claim to be some sort of man with cloth, I assume its touching cloth in the bathroom sense. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:17 pmI agree it’s very boring.
